Stayed for a festival weekend and have to say the facilities are basic to say the least but if you are looking for a great city location with a bed and show this is the spot. The room was cold with no additional facilities but we were looking for a night out in the city and the bottle of wine... More

A group of us (14 in total) booked six rooms, some doubles and trebles for a birthday party of a friend. It is in a great location, very central, walking distance to everything in the town. It is also on one of the busiest streets in the town so if you have a room overlooking, it will be noisy till... More

Let's start with the positives, centrally located accommodation close to the bars pubs shops and castle. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean with comfy beds made up with clean crisp white linen. Good WiFi signal. Decent shower and fresh towels on our second night. There was an arrangement with the posh hotel next-door that you could... More

Been here one night - no running water - can't shower, can't flush toilet, brush teeth etc. No one here to assist you, no one on site, no contact number, just an answer phone. Dreadful service and owner not returning phone calls. You have been warned, DO NOT STAY HERE.

I was traveling through kilkeny on our few days trip with my 8 years old doughter, was a piece of mind to stay overnight, very clean premises, quiet place, pleasant staff, enjoyed lovely shower after long day's travel, left with the smile and confidence to have a warth trust place to stay next time, maybe even for longer vacation.

After reading the reviews for this place, I was dreading staying here. Although we were told it was a 5pm check-in, we arrived at 3pm and were given the key by a lovely girl in the Asian restaurant downstairs. Our room was on the first floor, and quiet, although the town was heaving, as Rod Stewart was playing there. Very... More

Mccourts is in a great location ,but is really only suitable for hens/stags ect . great for nightlife ,walking around the city and shopping .I would not recommend for anyone with children or anyone elderly as the rooms are up 4 flights of narrow stairs .The bedrooms are the smallest I have ever encountered, a twin room was two single...
