B&B practically in the center but in a secluded street, everything can be easily reached on foot in a few minutes. Our room was large and although there were only 2 of us it had 2 double beds, the bathroom was also large enough. Daily cleaning and change of towels. Very good freshly cooked Irish breakfast. Private parking closed by a gate at times set by the owners, safe on one side (we were on motorbikes so happy) but which does not allow you to use your vehicle freely 24 hours a day, in fact a good part of the customers in cars parked on the street.

Good location and friendly hosts, this B&B is a good choice for a short stay. We happened to be there during a warm spell and unfortunately the fan and lights were on the same switch, so it couldn’t be left on at night which made it a bit warm. Otherwise, everything was comfortable and good during our stay. Breakfast was delicious with the option of a full Irish breakfast and a vegetarian Irish breakfast as well as continental breakfast options.

Quiet residential area, very short walk across the bridge to the center of the town. Nice and clean. Good breakfast with several options to choose from, friendly owners. Parking on the side street. Small room, small TV, soft but bit squeaky bed.

This B&B is very basic. The breakfast is exceptionally poor, cheap cold food and very little choice. The rooms were clean. I would avoid staying here if possible as it is poor value for money. The standard of the breakfast was the worst we have ever come across.

After driving 3 hours we arrived at the property and the owner demanded we pay more money or he would not accommodate us. The price for the rooms were advertised falsely on the third party site in which we booked. Which was an issue between the property and the site, not us. We refused to pay the balance as it’s not what we booked.

After a heated argument the property owner refused to let my friend leave the property and physically blocked him from exiting the door while raising he’s voice to him, Eventually he told us to “f**k off”
Luckily we got accommodated in a hotel close by.

Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from a businessman that claimed has been operating since 1998.

DO NOT STAY HERE! John Byrne, the owner, refused to honour our reservation and demanded more money from us if we wanted to stay or else we have to leave. He shouted and cursed at my friend and I and raised him arm at me refusing me from leaving. I felt physically and verbally intimidated and extremely unsafe in his presence. I would have called the guards on him had his son not called and diffused the situation. One of the worst people, not to mind hotelier, I have ever met. Do not stay here, would feel unsafe staying under the same roof as him.

Lovely building with loads of character. The hosts were excellent as was the breakfast.
Rooms were clean, comfortable and well appointed. Location was very central to downtown on a quiet back street. Parking is around the corner.
Highly recommend. We hope to be able to stay here again.

Srayed for one night and would stay longer no problem. Great location within 2 minutes of the main street. Very pleasant and friendly hosts. Our room was spotless clean and cozy. A delicious breakfast set us up for the rest of our day. Car park is a great asset. Will definitely stay here again.

Worst B&B I've ever stayed in. The hosts were rude, the room tiny, beds uncomfortable, the breakfast mediocre at best. Only good feature was it's proximity to downtown Kilkenny. We took a chance even though there were some poor reviews and now regret it. Don't take a chance! Plenty of other B&B's in Kilkenny where you'll get better treatment.

Our room was in the back house in the bowels. The room is sparse, no soap no hairdryer. There is parking, which I asked about when booking. When we got there though it was full and we had to park on the street. They accpeted a credit card to secure the booking but only wanted cash when we came to pay. The shower was good. The walls are thin, we weree woking up by people next door at 2am - they were having a greta time but we weren't! When we did manage to get a park inside we got parked in and had to wait till someone moved their car to get out. Other people were offered yogurt at breakfast - we weren't.
