Breakfast was top notch and we unfirtunately slept in on the second morning but when we went downstairs, the lady of the house gave us tea and toast anyway, even though we were an hour late. Then the man of the house came back from the shop and brought us a full Irish that he had kept in the oven... More

Room was clean and adequate. Toilet needed management's help at time but generally worked. Breakfast was good. Angela, the proprietress, is an amateur genealogist and helped us find distant cousins we were looking for. She even telephoned them and we later had a lovely visit in their home.

Myself and my partner stayed here recently for one night. It was his first time staying here and my third or fourth time, so I know the place quite well. John & Angela are very warm and friendly people and accommodation in the main house is lovely (I kept returning). However on this occasion we stayed in one of the... More

The Kilkenny Tourism office referred us to Celtic House. Although they only had a top floor room available they guaranteed a refund if we felt it was too small. The room was small but had a sky light that opened to a beautiful view of Kilkenny. John helped us with parking in a gated lot in back of the house.... More

This lovely B &B is a home away from home. The proprietors, Angela and John Byrne, made everyone very welcome. The breakfasts were wholesome, choice of continental or cooked, delicious. The room I was allocated was a small attic double, bright and airy with a skylight and everything you could need. Only downside was the proximity of the next bedroom... More

Stayed here recently for one night to attend a wedding in a local hotel. There were 4 of us in total: myself, my husband & my parents. Venue is well signposted despite roadworks & we were warmly welcomed by John. We were all asked if we would have the full Irish the next morning & we all accepted except my... More

This was the first B&B we stayed in while traveling around Ireland. The hosts were very pleasant and sweet. The room was at the back, on the third floor so lots of stair climbing and the slanted roof caused my husband to hit his head a couple of times trying to get around the beds. Beautifully located in Kilkenny; walking... More

Angela & John were wonderful hosts. Our room was clean, tea and coffee available in our room, house is charming and it's a great location to be able to walk into town. Plus she's the Irish ambassador to San Diego.

Being the second stop on our tour through Ireland, this b&b was an excellent choice. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Solid Irish breakfast and other variations available. Hosts are very kind and will be happy to help you with any kind of convern.
