We LOVED this place. The gardens are beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable. Val and Tom are the sweetest, kindest people you will meet and they make a wonderful Irish breakfast! It truly felt like we were visiting our relatives in Ireland (we don't have relatives in Ireland). The location is great because you're not right in the thick... More

And off to a great start! Val & Tom are the most friendly and helpful people. They offered us a ride into town (a mere 5 minute walk) and had scads of local info. They recommended a great place to eat dinner with live music that was spot on (Matt The Millers). The room was tight, but comfy, with a... More

My wife, Nancy, and I stayed at the Dunromin B&B during a recent trip to Ireland. Nancy immediately fell in love with Val. Val and Tom own the B&B and are simply the nicest people we met in Ireland...and that's saying a lot. We visited several locations during our 18 days in Ireland, and Kilkenny was by far my favorite.... More

We stayed 2 nights at Dunromin and wished we could have stayed longer. Kilkenny is a lovely town. Val welcomed us into her lovely home with tea and biscuits. She provided local information with respect to restaurants, sightseeing and shopping. The rooms very spotless, spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The traditional Irish breakfasts were delicious and included tasty... More

This was the first stay of our trip in Ireland. We were delayed arriving about 2 hours later than intended. We couldn't have felt more welcome. Cosy, clean comfortable beds and the breakfast next morning was exceptional. Homemade soda bread, loaf, a beautifully prepared and presented meal with lots of variety. A wonderful start to the day. The owner is... More

My wife and I along with her parents stayed one night with Val and it was a great way to start our trip! Val welcomed us with coffee and soda bread and gave us the lay of the land in Kilkenny to allow us to maximize our time. She provided a great recommendation for dinner (Matt The Millers). My wife and I stayed here for only one night but should have stayed longer. A very charming and typically Irish B&B. Our host was awesome. Very helpful with local information, great food and great accommodations. Don't miss this one......

Stayed here one night. Was a very pleasant B&B with a gracious and helpful host. Very walk able to town and had a wonderful breakfast. Our host had great recommendations and a lot of information about Killkenny.

This was our first B and B in Ireland and set a very high standard for the following ones to live up to. Val and Tom were most welcoming and Val enthusiastically helped us plan our 3 days in the area. The breakfast is wonderful and we were well located to walk into town. The en-suite room we had was... Val and Tom couldn't have been better hosts for our two night stay in Kilkenny. The house is spotless with furnishings that hark back to a much earlier time, but yet are so comfortable. Val made us tea and cake upon our arrival and provided us with amazing local information that the guidebooks couldn't. Our room had an outlook over... More
