This hotel catered to all of our needs on our wedding weekend. Old house for the after ceremony pictures and modern room for holding the meal. The hotel has a lovely pool area which has views of the grounds and you can take a nice walk there with the resident golden retriever dogs which is a lovely additional touch.

This was our fourth stay at Lyrath over 4 years and by far the worse. On the 3 previous stays even the most minor of issues were always dealt with swiftly, professionally & courteously by the management team and we always left happy, relaxed and vowing to return. Not this time though..... Dirty crockery in room, poor food and long... More

Arrival One of the highlights of the hotel was the arrival. It was a hectic evening, but the door man (Tom) was as warm and as welcoming as you could wish for, dedicating time not only to sort you out, but to explain the Hotel, it's buildings and history Reception Modern and welcoming. The staff were friendly and efficient and... More

3 of us went for afternoon tea, the sandwiches were adequate, but scarce, the pastries and scones were not fresh, the tea was in a stainless steel pot ( like you would get in hospital) and left on the table, too hot for us to hold the handle. No waiter offered to pour. Overall an absolute disgrace, then the kicker... More

This is a stunning hotel. We got a huge suite upgrade with two sofas separate living two bathrooms. Very very nice. Really enjoyed it. Lovely staff spa could do with upgraded esp the outdoor part. Well done and I believe it went into sale the weekend we stayed. It has slight room for improvement but I'm sure new owners will... More

If you don't like old things, do not stay here. However, if you like antiques and art and creaking floors and old stuff; this place will amaze you. Lyrath is walking distance to town, we parked car and never used it until we left two days later. The restaurant is very good, so is the bar. Everything is old fashioned,... More

What a day and night!! The most fantastic time we had with our family and friends to celebrate our babys christening in the lyrath. The place is immaculate and the christmas decorations just set it off perfectly. Food was amazing reasonably priced for a function at a five star performance and so much of it. With a lot of older... Lyrath is a really great location and the private grounds very pleasant to stroll around in. The afternoon tea was really very nice, food was delicious. Many elements to make Lyrath something special are there but what is missing is standard of service in some staff and really any attention to detail. We had a very young and not very... More

Check in smooth. Rooms clean and spacious, Toilet in seperate room in bathroom big plus. Handmade soap company products fabulous. Nice large bathrobes (Brown) white smaller. Hotel is fresh, a nice removal from the heat of hotels that can be stifling. Oasis spa, I didn't get to use thermal suite as I am pregnant, but the girls said the facilities... More
