A cosy B&B with a wonderfully warm couple, Mairead and Jimmy running it. On arrival we relaxed in the lounge room and had tea whilst reading local guides/newspaper clippings. Our room was on the first floor and we had a comfortable nights sleep. The following morning over a delicious breakfast, Jimmy shared his Ipad which was showing the World Cup...

This was the first B&B of our Ireland road trip, and we were completely charmed the moment we stepped through the door. Mairead was incredibly nice and hospitable, greeting us with hot tea and cake and offering tips on where we could have dinner. Her dinner recommendation turned out to be one of our favorites of the trip. Our bedrooms...

We’ve been exploring Ireland (the Republic and the North) since 1998 and we’ve visited Newlands in 2012 for three nights and in 2014 for four nights while we researched our grandparents. The rooms as well as the en suite are full sized, spacious and very comfortable. There is an ample selection of food and condiments for breakfast. Mairead and Jimmy...

We had a great stay here at this lodge outside of Kilkenny. The lodge is not too far out from town so the drive in is not very long. Mairead and Jimmy are excellent hosts and could not have been any nicer. The rooms are on the second floor and very spacious, as there was more than enough room for...

We stayed at Newlands lodge for one night before heading to Dublin. The house is beautifully kept and decorated and the owner is very nice. The room was big and the food was delicious. The owner was wonderful and even recommended that we stop at the Kell's priory on our way to Newgrange - It ended up being one of...

We stayed two nights at Newlands Lodge on the outskirts of Kilkenny. The hosts were so welcoming, helpful and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble from extra cups of tea to local knowledge. The B&b is beautifully decorated and the large grounds are well maintained. It is a short drive into the lovely town of Kilkenny with it's beautiful castle...

We stayed at Newlands lodge after our first day of driving on the wrong side of the road. Of course we were lost and Jimmy provided excellent directions that guided us in. Mairead was awesome, telling us that the next day would be much better driving, it was. Our room was spacious, comfortable and a good nights sleep. For breakfast,...

Great B&B. Mairead and Jimmy were so welcoming and undoubtedly spoiled us as there was nothing quite as nice at the other seven locations we stayed at in Ireland. Living room had tea service set up 24/7 with a variety of cookies and biscuits all the time. Really nice bedroom; good size with nice bathroom/shower. Even able to sleep at...

We stayed here last night for my partners birthday with a group of friends. Mairead couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were lovely and very decorative with very quaint pieces from around the world. The whole B&B was spotless from top to bottom. The life quotes around the B&B were a lovely touch. Iron, hairdryers and nice shower gels...
