Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On arrival here as an essential worker needing accommodation, I was greeted horribly by the receptionist, Lorraine, who was extremely rude towards me. She said she needed a letter from my job stating who I was, which she got and wasn't happy with. I then put her on a call to my work to clarify that i work there and she still wasn't happy with that. I provided 2 letters from work and my student ID and was interrogated by her asking why I didn't have my own company ID and other irrelevant questions such as if my work was paying for my stay? . I was given a discounted price on the phone and was charged nearly double on arrival. She had no issue in refusing me and practically harassed me with questions that weren't her business, it was appalling and I will defientntly not be staying here again, she was not one bit welcoming towards me and it seemed as if she didn't trust my credibility on working with the company i work for even after providing her with a headed paper she said 'anyone could have picked this up off the floor', fairly unlikely to happen its a government document.

Hi Sinead, I am sorry you felt that you were not treated well at our Hotel. I would like to put the Hotels side to you, Lorraine is at the Property for 15 years and is an example of what customer service should be. I actually took your reservation and, on the call,, I did explain that we would require the essential travel for accommodation form you along with picture ID. I also quoted you the rate clearly but you suggested to Lorraine that she was incorrect, for the record that would give your stay €25 per night, Your ID was not actually a Government document, we are at a loss Sinead as to why you went to your car and then produced the essential worker accommodation letter, not quite sure why you made this such an issue when you clearly had this with you. I must also point out that you received our student rate, so again this is a very unfair comment. we also accommodated you to arrive at 09.00am. In short, we believe we are staying open to assist and accommodate essential workers and it is very disappointing when the guest points the finger at the Hotel team for complying to the level 5 restrictions. Indeed, it becomes very disheartening to read such unwarranted comments. However, our guests are extremely thankful and continue to be grateful to us for remaining open to assist them carry out their works in this very difficult time.

There was a long queue for check in, fairly understandable as a group of contractors was checking in at the same time. However the one person on check in was having to run backwards and forwards in between check ins as a couple of people had rooms that had no keys. On getting to our pre booked family room, we found the room had only been set up for three people. The fourth bed was still folded up under the single bed. Reception finally came to sort out the problem and she took one look into the room and stated that the other bed was there and pointed. We use travelodge hotels regularly in the UK and I have not once ever had to put my own bed up and chase down sheets from reception and I wasn't starting this day. So she grudgingly put the bed up, grudgingly fetched sheets for it and then grudgingly agreed to bring toilet roll since there was none in the room. The good points are that the beds are comfy, there's a Tesco and a petrol station across the road and it is only ten minutes down the road to Bunratty Castle.

I thought for what we paid the value was exceptional. We did arrive late and left early for a rugby match so it didn't make sense to pay alot of money for our stay. We had a lovely bedroom and the hotel was quiet, we slept well and I loved the tea/coffee facility in the rooms. Thank you.

As this is close to limerick and king johns castle it was exactly right for my 1st visit to ireland. Tours by day to cork, waterford and galway were convenient, castles everywhere! The cliffs of moher were important as last year i went to noumea on a cruise to see theirs. The sorroundings quite different...Its lack of open spaces being the obvious one at first .seeing a grey squirrel was lucky as where,s the wildlife supposed to roam. Not like theres room for herds of wild kangaroos is there

A long way out of town. Comfortable rooms. Would have liked a hairdryer and an iron in the room. Nothing nearby except Aldi which is a positive. Couldn’t find staff at reception it served a purpose. Car parking facility is very good😍

We booked this hotel through our travel agent and were not disappointed. It is as advertised clean and quiet travelodge that appears to be going through some upgrades. The morning we checked out the cable guys wee there to do some upgrades. We had a full day of traveling and appreciated the ability to relax. Simple furniture and a bit outdated, but fine for a layover. Could use a bit of a refresh. Staff helpful at directing us to get some groceries. Next morning had breakfast at the attached restaurant . We really enjoyed it and was made to order.

Ciara at reception went above the call of duty and did everything to help me as I had mistakenly booked the wrong Travelodge in Limerick... She explained what I needed to do as I had booked through booking.com and she called the other hotel and got me booked in and assisted with securing the corporate rate. Many thanks.
