Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I camped here overnight while i was down fishing. I wanted a location close to the Moy as possible and i found this little spot. I got located a lovely little spot under some trees with an electric hookup which was perfect and private almost. Its a lovely quiet little place if you are looking somewhere to go and relax. The hosts where fantastic and let me check in very early as i had arrived not knowing that you could only check in after 12. The host are very helpful and friendly. They have everything you could need..A shop in reception, a bar for a few drinks in the evening and a cafe for food if you are hungry. The showers and Toilets were very very clean and there is also a Kitchen which has everything you could ever need and is also kept spotless. There only thing missing from my trip was a Salmon.... I plan to do a lot of fishing this season so i will definitely be returning here for my base and hopefully to my little Paradise under the trees. Thank you Jonny

Such a lovely spot! Alex and Rob are perfect hosts, not interfering, but always available. Excellent value for money, toilets and showers SPOTLESS! Shop on site has all the basics required. Only 1 negative. Take away food not good at all, tasted liked Donegal catch dipped in hot oil and burger tasted like was done in microwave. But that's the only negative, hate to write that cause everything else top class.

Apologies for the late response. I'm sorry to hear that the food was not up to scratch. Our fish is cooked in the deep fat fryer and the oil is changed as soon as it gets dark. The burgers come from the craft butcher and are cooked on the grill. We wouldn't dream of cooking them in the microwave. I do hope this was just a one-off. We are pleased to know that you were happy with the caravan park and thank you for the review.

We stayed here for a one night stopover on our wild atlantic way journey. 2 adults and 2 children in our caravan. Campsite was clean, owners were friendly, facilities were good. The kids enjoyed the little games room and the tyre swing. Small campsite but everything you need is there, would return.

So delighted to get back to carrowkeel! Such a beautiful campsite. Alex and Rob are such gentlemen, the perfect hosts and work so hard to give such a lovely service and provide a gorgeous experience . We were there for two nights, camping, a family of 6. Lovely, clean and quiet. There is a shop on site and a clubhouse, currently serving takeaway foods and drinks. Very reasonably priced and lovely tasty meals. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you Alex and Rob, we are counting down the days until we are back to you again 😊

Toilets clean owners were very friendly and helpful. Stayed just one night very good site. The showers let them down! Everything else was excellent. The shop and takeaway food were handy also. (I don't have anything else to say to fill 200 characters TripAdvisor)

Great wee find. Showers could be better but I think I picked the dodgy one. Big area in case it is raining for games. We walked into the next village, we didn't see pubs or shops but maybe we didn't walk far enough. Nice quiet locale even though it was on the main road - single track . The reception sold some items.

Dear Debbie, thank you for your review and 3 stars. You probably walked to Parke where you'll only find a church, but no shops or pub. We are appr. 3km from Ballyvary and from Turlough. Ballyvary has a small supermarket (with a very good meat counter) and 2 pubs, whilst Turlough has a small supermarket and 1 pub. Having said that, none of the pubs are open in the day time anymore. We hope you will visit us again and have the opportunity to explore more of our surrounding area.

Husband and two kids and four other families all booked in to Carrowkeel Camping and Caravan park for the long weekend. Alex and Rob have a great set up going on. All facilities are clean and showers lovely and hot and free! There is a fabulous games room for kids which is perfect for making friends. A small shop with all essentials, a bar with food available in the evenings all made for a great weekend. Alex and Rob were lovely and went out of their way to please. We would definitely recommend this lovely spacious and well run campsite and hopefully we will be back for a visit soon.

We also like to compliment you and all the other parents that weekend for the way the children behaved. We didn't have to call any one of them to order over the entire weekend.
