Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Friendly staff but in need of a more modern upgrade throughout the hotel. Limited menu options for breakfast although waiting staff very attentive. Currently upgrading rooms but we were not made aware of the noise prior to checking in.

The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The hotel needs a good clean and re decorating. The shrubs and the grounds need to be manicured . The food was warm portions were very small and very bland. Thanks

Lovely hotel, room was immaculate and all staff were welcoming and friendly. We had both a breakfast and dinner in this hotel and the restaurant was very nice. Breakfast was beautiful with a great selection and very efficient, we were looking out the windows at the views on a crisp morning. Special thanks to the staff for making our stay 5* and a special thanks to the girl behind the bar who was very hospitable, we had a great laugh with her. I believe her name was Aoife! Kudos Aoife!! We will definitely be back again

3 fabulous nights staying at the Westport Woods Hotel… Westport is absolutely beautiful & lots more fun whilst there for St Patrick’s day (the town was buzzing)… The hotel sits a 20 minute walk away from the town, easily walkable if able or an €8 taxi fare! A big shout out to Kay & Stephen who are a massive asset to this hotel! Kay was so welcoming, approachable & attentive on every interaction, her big smile lit up that dining room whether it be breakfast or dinner service. Stephen also couldn’t have done enough, always there to assist, a gentleman, impeccable at his job with the customer service provided across our stay. Bedrooms were lovely, a great size. We had booked a twin and got a large double bed each, extremely comfortable. Housekeeping attended daily to change towels & make up the bed. A little on the hot side on our first night, radiators turned off and windows left open solved that! A couple of small niggles to mention; very surprised not to see a cocktail menu & no brandy glasses on offer at a 4 star hotel. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel. I look forward to a return visit one day.

Room Tip: Turn the radiator off as soon as you go into the room. To hot even in the month of March.

It was just a one night stay and it was off season. The location was close to the town centre and the carpark had ample room. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was spotless, roomy, quiet and extremely comfortable. The wifi worked perfect and the TV was massive. The food was excellent and the whole experience was extremely good value for money as I booked directly over the phone. I would definitely stay there again. The leisure facilities were top class too.
