Detailed Reviews
We stayed here this week following a few days away on a short break. We were delighted with our choice as, with the current restrictions due to Covid19, we felt it was a safe rural location away from the madding crowds of cities and towns. The accommodation was extremely clean and all rooms, communal areas etc were well equipped with hand sanitisers and everything necessary to ensure the safety of visitors and hosts alike. We were warmly welcomed by Susan and Des who are wonderful, friendly hosts, full of interesting information on what to see and do in the area. The rooms are extremely spacious and, as another reviewer mentioned, more in line with the type of rooms available in hotels rather than a private house. There is a separate entrance for guests and seats outdoors with lovely views over Waterford city and the surrounding countryside. The breakfast and choices on the breakfast menu were all excellent. The fresh fruit was delicious and the food was perfectly cooked. The charming hospitality of the owners was just the icing on the cake! We will be back!

This is a great B&B. Susan is very accommodating. Room is very well appointed and roomy. We’re impressed right from the start. Has a lounge and a room for breakfast. Susan was very accommodating to bring my husband a drink in the room so he didn’t have to walk. I would highly recommend this place. A+++++

We booked 2 rooms at this wonderful B&B and we could not have been more pleased! The rooms were clean, beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the bathroom was very nice. The cooked-to-order breakfast was delicious and Susan was such a gracious hostess. Highly recommended!

Myself and my son spent last night in Samuel's Heritage.
We were warmly greeted by the hosts Susan and Des and given a brief overview of the facilities before being shown to our room.
Our room was lovely and bright with a fantastic view onto the river Suir and the bed was extremely comfortable.
Breakfast this morning was superb....beautiful home made mini scones with home made jam and marmalade.
The full Irish Breakfast was delicious with perfectly cooked fried eggs (which is a rarity).
If I could give stars, I would.

This was simply the best B&B I have stayed in for years. It is in a lovely setting less than 10 mins drive from Waterford city centre. Clean, fresh and very welcoming. There were so many considerate touches to make life on the road easy...access to a fridge, microwave and kettle. Tea and coffee. Shared tv lounge. Water cooler and refillable glass water bottles for your room. The breakfasts were delicious.. beginning with all the usual buffet juices, cereals, berries. Really nice coffee, little fresh scones. Then a lovely hot breakfast menu..really tasty and varied. The Full Irish worked for the entire day! Susan and Des were very helpful and considerate hosts. Very highly recommended!

We stayed one night. The rooms are comfortable. The property is situated beautifully with lovely views. It’s only 10 mins from Waterford city. The bathroom and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast next morning was good! Great value for money. There is free onsite parking (6 spots for about 6 rooms).

Nicely situated in a rural area. Welcoming hosts Susan and Des. Large clean room and bathroom with walk in shower. Pleasant guests lounge which is where the tea and coffee making facilities were. Large fridge if you want to store fresh items and also a microwave and bottle water cooler/dispenser.
Delicious breakfasts with freshly squeezed orange juice, freshly made scones, homemade marmalade and the usual choices of cereals and cooked food.
Easy travel to Waterford Centre, Waterford Crystal factory well worth a visit.

We stayed here for one night & we have to say we enjoyed every minute of it. A warm welcome from Susan & Des when we arrived, at this superbly located hotel B&B, with fantastic panoramic views. The bedrooms are very spacious, with large roomy bathroom. A very relaxing lounge area &mini gym also. Breakfast is very good, with a great variety along with the delicious home made scones. All in all we have no hesitation in recommending Samuel's Heritage. We will certainly be returning. Thanks Susan for you excellent hospitality. Dan & Bryan.

We booked Samuel's about a month ago based on trip advisor.
We stayed for 2 nights and made to feel very welcome by our host Dez
Lovely large room comfortable beds and every facility you could want.
About 15 minutes outside Waterford in a quiet location.
We both enjoyed our breakfast plenty of choice.
We were the only guests at the time so distancing not a problem. Plenty of sanitizer, we felt safe and comfortable.
At 190 Euros fot 2 nights B&B very good value

This was the best decision my fiancé and I made while in Waterford. We’ve been to the county many times, but after staying here, we are making it a point to stay again. We came in for a night prior to a wedding, and it was the first time my fiancé and myself had a continuous deep sleep in ages (The bed was almost too comfortable. Im saying a 15 minute cat nap will be a dream-filled adventure.)
The rooms were clean, Des and Susan were more than welcoming, and the breakfast was the ultimate experience. Best scones I have ever had, and the view in the morning is the best in the county.
I have travelled the globe and stayed in various tiers of accommodations, and this was the perfect blend of “staying” and “living.”
