This is a very outdated property. Fixtures and fittings are past it and décor is awful. The only redeemable point was that although the rooms were poorly fitted out they were reasonably clean. The bar area is in fact the local pub so definitely not suitable for a quiet night out. Bar food straight from the deep fat fryer. Staff...

Went here beginning of October with a few friends for a week.. when we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by lovely staff and Mark and caroline both were very nice and couldn't do anymore to help. The food that we ordered was very good much better than what we expected the meals were very big and full of...

Chose this hotel due to its proximity for the ferry - just 5 minutes drive - as we had an early start. The room was rather tired, but had a good view of the harbour and we slept well. Prior to arrival we had booked dinner in The Captain's Table restaurant; however, on arriving downstairs we found the restaurant in...

Straight off the ferry and into the hotel by a 5 min taxi ride. There are no stairs but the reception are very willing to carry the luggage to the room. No need to leave the hotel as it has excellent bar and restaurant facilities. If catching a train in the morning be sure to ask the train times. If...

We popped in for a bite to eat and pint given the beautiful view from this location. The service was average as they seemed short staffed when we were there but they went out of their way to get food and drinks in a timely manner. Our 8 year old daughters burger was not made to order but they went...

We recently stayed at the hotel whilst on a fishing tour, we were 10 in number. We were made very welcome by the staff and found the food and drinks very reasonable, nothing was too much trouble for the staff and there was ample parking, there was a great choice for breakfast and a good menu for Dinner and Evening...

We stayed here as a stopover to catch the early ferry. We had a family room which was fine itself but the common areas, corridors etc don't leave a good impression. The food was good and hot and the service at breakfast was good. What wasn't good was the late night entertainment - which in fairness sounded good- that went...

Myself and my partner stayed here for 2 nights on a break away from work. We found the hotel ok but badly needs an upgrade and a deep clean. The bar staff are not the friendliest unless youre a local - the bar was left unattended several times so service was poor. We found one or 2 of the staff...

My family enjoyed a pleasant stay at this hotel recently. It's quite rundown and a shabby but is undergoing a bit of an upgrade. We have a six month old son so the fact that there is no lift was a major problem. The bar food is pretty decent as was breakfast. The staff are very helpful and pleasant.
