Our triple room was dirty, basic and sub standard. This hotel was more like a hostel. The room decor was very dated, very disappointed customer. 100% will not be back! The only good thing was the breakfast. We where given a triple room. At 8pm when our children where in bed and had been for some time we had a...

We recently stayed here on a Friday night and had a really nice experience, there was free parking, the reception staff were lovely and accommodating on arrival, we dined in the restaurant that evening and had a beautiful meal - the waiting staff were also very attentive and friendly! There was live music in the bar that evening, although we...

We stayed here last weekend food was top class in restaurant attached to Hotel. If your looking for old world charm and friendly helpful staff and music on Saturday night all good at the Grand. We visited the Goal Jail very realistic with models inside cells making it all too real. Well worth a visit.

Staff were all fantastic, gave excellent suggestions, were very helpful and let me check in early when I arrived far too early for check in. Large room, good storage space, wifi worked pretty well, only a few drop outs. Bed was comfortable. Food at the restaurant was good, as was the service. Dated interior. I was rather shocked when I...

My husband and I had our wedding here in 2008, and we decided to celebrate the anniversary of our meeting in 2001 here at the end of January. From the second we set foot in the door, we were treated like the most important people on earth. The staff really went out of their way, especially when we mentioned it...

We have been visiting The Grand Hitel for many years and seen when it has been booming to when the recession really hit and now it feels as though it is getting back in its feet and getting the grandeur back the building deserves. Just a slight complaint, when advertising the wonderful flavoured coffees it would be nice to actually...

Stayed here with my Mother just for one night as we won a voucher last year. After reading some of the reviews I was a bit skeptical but we said we'd give it a chance anyway! The hotel itself is old in style but our room was big and our beds were comfortable. The only downside was our radiator was...
