Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Turned up for first time visit. Great views from all pitches Of the sea to the front and the mountains from behind. Adults only is a great idea no kids running around just a peaceful location to rest and relax. A short trip into the local village for fish and chips or use the local shop. 10. Injures into Conwy with lots of shops places to eat and drink too. The site is immaculate and so well kept. Nice dog walk on site too. Within 10 minutes you can be on the beach and walk for a couple of miles and hardly anyone there. Staff on site were great and helped us out when we had a water problem, lovely people. Would definitely return to this place.

An exceptional site on the outskirts of beautiful Conwy, within easy reach to many beautiful places & picturesque seaside towns.
This site is very elevated, with far reaching sea views from whichever way you look! & the site is at the base of the stunning Carneddau Mountains.
Due to this sites elevation, weather is a consideration as it can get windy, & due to the inclines, it may not be a suitable site for all, but we LOVED IT!
It's very peaceful, despite some reviews saying they thought the road noise was too loud, we certainly didn't find this.
Also, some reviews state the owners not helpful or friendly, again, we did not find this at all, in fact, the opposite.
The full facilities were restricted due to a recent 'crash' incident, but the second Shower block was incredibly clean & convenient.
This is an Adults Only site, which again will not be suitable for everyone, but we found this to our liking.
I would certainly book again, if only for the magnificent views! also, with the hope during our next visit the main facilities block has been repaired.
A great site!

Easy to get to, this fantastic site is probably the best we've stayed on over the last 6 years since we bought our Caravan. Booking was easy, the Web Site informative and the owners and Staff very friendly and pleasant (as we find the vast majority of Welsh people are). The Gladstone Hotel and Pub is only a 5 minute walk and they serve good food and a good assortment of beers and other drinks. The town of Penmaenmawr is only a 20 minute walk and there are local shops, Cafes, a Chinese takeaway and a Fish and Chip Shop (though this was closed until 19th November while we were there). Very handy for the A55 and places such as Anglesey, Bangor, Conwy, Rhyl, Prestatyn etc. We have no hesitation in recommending this well kept site and will definitely be visiting again.

Tyddyn du is a member of the Tranquil parks group but was anything but tranquil. Situated just 100 yards from the North Wales Expressway (A55) you have to endure the constant noise of heavy traffic 24/7. Site is kept well & is very tidy with staff constantly maintaining the upkeep. You pay a premium for a fully serviced pitch but it turns out they are the smallest pitches on site. I would suggest they only just meet the minimum requirements in width. Despite the site being well below capacity visitors seemed to be shoehorned into the first few pitches leaving you feeling like a sardine. Hardly enough room to sit outside & then you could not view the sea as the bramble infused hedge was too close to see over.
Not an experience I will be repeating. Strange times at the moment but management made no effort to make contact once your money had changed hands to ensure everything was ok.

Booked this on the phone after looking at their website and the process couldn’t have been easier. Great communication from the park from booking to arrival too.
On arrival, we were escorted directly to the pitch and the wardens even unhooked us and put caravan in place. (1st class service) They then explained everything we needed to know and were so helpful. The park had a cancellation when we arrived, and we were given the option to have that pitch as the view was better. Love the fact they actually cared about our stay and tried to make it better. The view from most of the was fantastic, most are stunning sea and mountain views. Great to wake up to.
EHU was perfect and plenty water supplies close by. Another bonus was the waste water had a main hook up so no walking back and forward with your wastemaster (made such a difference) although you still need to go with toilet waste, but again, close enough not to be a massive chore.
The park itself is immaculate and well set out. Shower and toilet blocks were clean and tidy and adequate if you need to use them. The site is also very central for those that want to tour the North Wales area. There is also a good variety of local shops and takeaways only round the corner.
I would recommend this for campers and tourers, we will definitely return here for another stay.

We have just come back from Tyddyn Du, booked in for 4 nights but could only go for 3 as my husband had a tummy bug on the first day. We accept losing one nights pitch fee, but when we ask if we could arrive early the next day they told us we still had to arrive at 2pm eventually they said we could arrive at 1pm only an hour early. After having paid for the pitch we felt this was a bit mean.Apart from that nice site close to many of the attractions of North Wales.

A beautiful site with superb views that we will definitely visit again. A friendly greeting from very helpful and competent staff, who were very willing to provide assistance if required. A very clean site with excellent facilities perfectly situated for historic and maritime sites.

To start with, the site itself is well looked after with very clean showers etc and beautifully kept surrounds. It is terraced and has spectacular views towards the sea.
We found it very windy, and although the owners have no control over the weather, there were one of two nights when we thought our awning was going to take off!
At the moment the office on site is not manned during the day and if there is a problem one has to ring up. It would be nice if it could be open a couple of hours a day. Other than the maintenance staff we saw nobody at all on site to ask questions, the sort that are too trivial to phone up about!
Our main concern was the road noise, which may not bother some people but I am afraid it did us. It is a very busy dual carriageway with a railway track adjacent, although the trains didn’t worry us.
Subject to the caveats above we had a pleasant week at the site but probably won’t return.

I should have listened to the previous reviewers reference to noise. It is ridiculous that this is listed as a “Tranquil Site” the traffic noise from the many lorry’s going to and from Holyhead day and night is certainly very loud and intrusive.
I wish we had not booked to stay so long here , one night would have been enough.
Site kept clean and tidy but the site vehicles and tractor going up and down continuously certainly did not help with the noise levels, plus the kids at the adjacent school.
Ok for a stop over to or from ferry but that’s it!

Just returned from a lovely stay at this site, we absolutely loved it and have booked again for next year, the guys on site are amazing and guided us to our pitch and also guided us in to ensure we were positioned just right.
Amazing views and lots of places to visit nearby, you can park near the beach and walk miles when the tide is out.
As for people complaining about the noise from traffic in the A55 and the trains don't let this put you off as it really didn't bother us at all and once you are in your van you can't hear anything.
I would of given this 5 stars but due to the men's facilities on the lower end of the park being out of order the toilets for the men where not ideal but you were able to use the disabled facility if it was unoccupied, the site did call us in advance to make us aware that work was been done due to an accident but hopefully this will all be sorted soon.
Thank you again for a wonderful stay at a wonderful site see you again
