Had a long trip up to Ruislip from Cornwall and arrived several hours before official check-in time, but reception said my room was ready,so I was able to drop my bags in my room and shoot off,so brownie points straight off the bat to the Barn for that. I thought the room was a little small on first impressions but it turned out to be perfectly adequate for my needs as the week panned out.The state of the carpet was a minor gripe as it was very stained and needed replacing. The room looked very nice in the evening when the lighting was all turned on and created a lovely glowing hue and ambience. I didn’t spend much time in reception or the hotel restaurant but they looked as atmospheric and classy as I remembered them from previous stays. The hotel grounds looked quite tired and they need to keep on top of the gardening side of things more. Overall a pleasant stay at a reasonable price compared to some of its local competitors.

Grim ... Feel like deserve an ' I survived The Barn ' badge Exterior ok and from what I saw of the bar area very busy. The rooms however are another story, I have read reviews stating they are due a refurb but the conditions are appalling considering the price. - pubes in bed - snot on the wall - grime everywhere - no suitable ventilation leading bedding and clothes to be damp - black mould on ceiling area plus cracks that visibly move when the occupant upstairs walks about

Awful,Awful,Awful. Don’t go there. They are closing down at the end of September, and developing the site. They should close at once as the place has been left to run down. The chairs in the dining room were filthy dirty and just about summed up this hotel. The only positive was Wayne on reception, who was very helpful. Shame really because this used to be a well run lovely hotel.

We had a room in the older part of the hotel. It wasn't huge but there was everything we needed, it was comfortable and very clean. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Everyone we spoke to was really friendly and helpful. A special thanks to John who helped find my missing bangle, lovely man doing a fantastic job. The Barn is in a great location and is very well priced. I'd happily stay there again.

Located just a walk away distance from Ruislip underground station and Bus stops also very good market fully loaded with variety of restaurants and super market like Icelandic, Tesco and Sunsbury. Direct bus to Heathrow terminal (278) an metro towards central London like Bekar Street. The hotel is vey well maintained with lot of garden and open space around.

We have been to The Barn Hotel for Afternoon Tea on many occasions and it has always been a very pleasant experience, until today (22 June 2023). We knew the price had gone up to £25 per person, but never the less, we were looking forward to the lovely sandwiches, freshly made scones and cakes. The offerings consisted of, per person; 4 finger sandwiches (ham & mustard, smoked salmon, egg & cress, cheese), 2 scones with clotted cream & jam, and 4 very small bite size cakes. As we have done in the past, we asked for some extra sandwiches and were told that we would incur an additional charge of £7 per person, for the same 4 finger sandwiches! We were very disappointed, not only because of the increase in the price, but also because the extra charges now in place. The place is lovely, the staff are friendly & helpful, but we won’t be going back again.

This has been our hotel of choice when visiting the Ruislip area, indeed we have stayed at this hotel many times during the last 9 years. During which time we have seen the hotel slowly deteriorate in terms of the building and facilities, indeed during two recent stays our rooms (In Deans Lodge) were looking very tired, we discovered ‘Out of Order’ signs on many items in the rooms, the hotel appears to be falling into a state of disrepair, under investment, which is sad given its status many years ago. We will certainly be looking for alternative hotel accommodation in the future….

I stayed in the old part of this hotel room quite small not much room to move around, shower not much pressure. But room had complimentary coffee and tea and free wifi and clean room. Restaurant and bar a bit pricey for the location staff very friendly and helpful.

Afternoon tea was lovely. Staff were friendly and catered for our needs. Not too expensive either. We were not rushed at all and spent a couple of hours having a relaxing time. Only downside was that a lot of the chairs were dirty/ stained and could do with re-covering .

The barn hotel is the worst place I have ever stayed in . There was a spider in my bed, crochroches in our room and loads more insects lurking around the hotel room!Take MY advice and DO NOT STAY HERE. There was a plaster on the ceiling as well, that's not very hygienic is it???!!The walls were like paper so we got 0 sleep as we kept getting woke by the room above. The barn hotel also did fake advertising,it said we had a double bed and two single beds but it had all single beds and it said we had a bath but guess what??!NO BATH. Our friend then got a better room but cheaper. Before you book this hotel think about it.This hotel is three stars when it should be a big fat !ZERO!
