French food and French service. This place is very clean, nicely located and caters mostly for fishing folks. We stayed in a lovely little cottage. The manager is really nice and so are the members of staff. Lasa Africana is one of those places where you can let your hair down and simply relax. Recommended!

Genial Frenchman and fisherholic Gilles came fishing in Guinea Bissau 19 years ago and liked the Bijagos Islands so much he lost no time in making Bubaque Island (in the center of the Bijagos) home with his kindly Senegalese wife.
