The Hotel is located in Peterborough Services on the A1M. Negotiating the car park to approach it can be a little tricky as it is at the left hand end. The staff were all very polite and helpful. We stayed four nights. In spite of the heavy traffic on the adjacent roads the double glazing worked well and noise was minimal. There was no noticeable noise from other guests in spite of the Hotel being fairly full. The TV provision was good with a large selection of channels available. The bed was comfortable, shower adequate and all very clean. The Hotel is dog friendly. Although the Hotel is on two floors there is no lift.

Stayed in Room 119 for one night.

As you’d expect from a branch of Days Inn, the reception staff are very professional. Check-in was easy, although I did have to fill in a form. I was given a keycard and pointed in the right direction to my room. It’s a functional room, with all the standard amenities including a TV, an armchair, desk and chair to work on, and a king sized bed, but otherwise devoid of furnishing. Spacious, business-like, but functional. The bed was very comfortable and I had a great night's sleep.

The bathroom had a shower and toilet, but no sink, which for some reason was in the room. Liquid soap dispensers were provided over the sink and the shower and of course clean towels provided too.

There’s free Wifi, albeit over an unsecured network. It’s fast and works well. The electrical socket even has 2 USB ports for charging.

Location wise, the hotel is easily accessible by car as it’s basically in a service station and shopping centre. The car parking area extends to the entrance of the hotel. The shopping area does get business, but it should be possible to find a parking spot close to the entrance. There’s the usual range of fast food chains in the centre and even an M & S. There’s not a lot around as it’s basically on the outskirts of Peterborough, but that’s fine if just an overnight stay.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

I was very impressed with my over night stay,
Being greeted with a smile is always nice, very friendly receptionist, on the way to my room i noticed the smell of fresh new carpet in the hall way. my room was very cosy and the design was nice, very clean and comfortable.

when you look a the picture it looks like there is just a hotel, car park and a restaurant next door but there is alot more.

Stayed 5 nights whilst attending a Church event, our expectations weren't very high and we were pleasantly surprised but the size of the room facilities etc. Noise level from A1 M was very low and we slept Air con worked fine though not as quiet as some, shower good though pressure could have been higher. Staff made the place and were all without exception friendly an helpful especially Cat.

Our stay was trouble free, the friendly staff were very helpful and nothing seemed to be to much trouble for them. Our room was nice and cool with the air conditioning running pretty much silently so a good nights sleep was an extra treat with outside temperatures hovering around 30°.
Saying good bye to the on duty receptionist 'Neelam' who wished us an safe onward journey.
Great stay.

All was good with my overnight stay other than the temperature in the room when I arrived. I tried the thermostat/control on the wall but it took a long time before I noticed any difference. It was a mild day for January and I don’t feel the cold particularly, but I had to get into bed and under the covers to feel comfortable. I realise there’s an energy crisis and they don’t know the exact time people check-in, but neither do they ask so the room can be heated to a reasonable temperature. I’ve stayed before during last summers heatwave and the air-con made it a very good place to stay in the summer. Unfortunately, my winter experience hasn’t been so good. Staff were excellent, I didn’t bother them with my ‘issue’ as I was hoping my ‘thermostat’ adjustment would work quicker than it did, if it worked at all?

Stayed here to break up a journey to the north. Pleasant welcome, large, comfortable air conditioned room with excellent shower. Bar on site was a bonus on a hot day. Minor problem over booking as to whether breakfast was included (service areas website said yes, theirs no) was speedily resolved. Continental breakfast was in fact quite substantial, 48g of cornflakes, milk, apple, can orange juice croissant and jam and spread. Sufficient to get us on our way. Very quiet night despite being so close to motorway and free parking. What was there not to like.

This is an awful hotel. We were checked in and the lady on reception confirmed there was aircon (it was 30c and we had young children with us) went up to our room and turned it on. We popped out and returned to a very hot room.
The same lady then stated there was no air con until the Monday.
The hotel was so beyond hot, that people were sleeping in their cars and standing outside.
Awful night.

Lovely hotel.
Staff polite helpful nothing too much trouble.
Rooms clean,beds comfortable.
Handy that it's at services so on site you have quite alot of eateries,Also big plus for us was there was a park which burnt abit of the kids energy off before bed!

Just had to leave the Days Inn in Peterborough. Terrible place. I've just been there and had to leave. They basically stole my money. When I got there, I said I had booked a downstairs room as I have a dog. The Receptionist told me that she had no note of that so I had to go upstairs as they had no rooms available downstairs. I was unhappy but had to accept. She then asked me whether I'd booked a smoking room to which I answered I hadn't (I suffer from allergies and asthma so no way I'd have booked one). She said ok and proceeded to check me in. I paid, she gave me the magnetic card to room 230 and as soon as I got upstairs I can smell cigarette smoke. I went downstairs immediately saying there must be an error and no way I could sleep in that room (without ending up in hospital!). She just said that was the room I'd booked (!) so I had to stay there. No way I could have booked a smoking room as it would send me to hospital! And besides this 'mistake' I'd also made the mistake of not asking for a downstairs room?? Could it be that they got it all wrong?? I asked for a refund as I couldn't stay there, but she wouldn't give me my money back as I had to wait for the manager who wouldn't be there until tomorrow morning. I asked whether she expected me to spend the night at Reception and she shrugged. In the meanwhile, other people were checking in and I heard them being asked whether they wanted a smoking or non smoking room, upstairs or downstairs!!!! So she could have moved things around had she wanted to!!!! But apparently as THAT was the room her system told her I'd booked I had to stay there! She said she could ozone the room for me and I had to be out for a couple of hours. I asked if that would get rid of smoke in the carpet, walls, ceiling etc again, she shrugged! I've never seen such inflexible, rude behaviour and quite frankly I feel they've robbed me of my money. On top of that, the place looked shabby and dirty and unwelcoming, but I didn't stay long enough to take in the surroundings in detail. Never again - their dishonest behaviour is the worst bit about this experience. Does anyone know whom I can report them to and how I can put in a formal complaint?
