Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Apart from the rather basic decor, the facilities would do justice to a hotel far more luxurious and expensive. Convenient location beside the A1 but little noise. A Starbucks 100 yards away was a nice bonus.

I stayed here as a stop gap on the way down to London to see a few friends and opted for an early check in. Umar was very welcoming during the times I saw him, even when he was busy and running around, stopped to speak to me. The room was very clean and shockingly quiet. I expected noise from the motorway but it was quiet and I had a good night's sleep.

We were in bed naked and the manager walked straight into our room without even knocking or announcing their presence , just opened the door to look at a toilet !! Still not heard from the hotel regarding this extremely violating and vulnerable situation I was put in ! Feeble apology received at the desk but completely outrageous !

Very good. Positive reception experience, not large and a very motel feel. Coffee chain on site, massive Extra services facilities five minutes' away. A quarter of an hour sees you in Peterborough with the passport office, River Nene and mighty (free entry- talking to you, Ely) Cathedral. It's a great option, I think normally too steep for me but snapped up on this occasion. Recommended.

My family and I stayed at Alwalton Travelodge for a night this December. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and quiet atmosphere of the hotel. The room was really nice and had all the necessary facilities. The gentleman at the reception was polite, welcoming and helpful. The following morning Umar, the manager, was at the reception, he was very polite and very helpful indeed. He helped with all the things I asked him, such as the Internet, directions, booking etc.. Will definitely go back to stay at the Alwalton Travelodge and will definitely recommend it.

Very clean and comfortable, great for a short stay. Its a shame there was not a restaurant on site and it would be useful to be able to open windows to allow air into the room.it was close to where we wanted to be to visit family in peterborough

Bed wasn’t comfy which I’ve never found with a Travelodge before. It was clean and tidy but quite tired looking (yellowed tiles in bathroom and generally dated feeling in corridors etc.) however that isn’t really a problem for a one night stay on the A1. Staff were friendly and helpful.
