Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Brilliant hotel one of the cleanest we have stayed in,with very friendly staff. Will definitely stay again. Beautiful grounds very quiet and restaurant next door. The beds were so comfortable and parking was free.

I booked a double room for myself for 2 nights. Had a lovely stay. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Double bed was very comfy, bathroom was perfect, with great shower pressure, big mirror to look in and a lock on the bathroom door if you need more privacy when staying with others.

Also had a Big, good quality TV, which I think was an 40”. Also a very useful feature was a HDMI socket within the wall, which was perfect as in connect my laptop to the tv and watched Netflix. Also a nice mirror with lights by the entrance of the room was a nice touch and the open wardrobe was good. You’re provided with a kettle and glasses and mugs, with tea, coffee milk and sugar, which was very useful.

The breakfast I had (which only cost £4.99 as it was half price on a Wednesday) was splendid, it was unlimited breakfast, but I only opted for sausages, beans, eggs bacon and toast, with a glass of orange juice. It was a very good breakfast.

Only Negatives I can say about the hotel, which isn’t major, was that the TV wasn’t based in the middle of the wall, but slightly more on right side of the road wall. But it wasn’t too much of a nuisance. Also the bed side socket is very low, which was a bit of a nuisance as I it was stretching my charger cable, so had to use my phone on the edge on the bed.

But overall, I’d give my stay at premier in a 9.5/10 :)

From the moment I made the booking I felt confident that customer and staff safety was a priority. The covid protocols in place ensured almost no contact. Extras for the room were pre arranged when booking as was a breakfast slot for the following morning. The stay was several days before restrictions were lifted.
I friend and I had two rooms booked to attend a wedding nearby the following day. Thanks to all the staff both seen and unseen for giving us confidence that every precaution had been taken. Despite the heat and lack of air con in the rooms we nevertheless managed sound sleep and woke rested. The fan blowing onto the bed and having prebooked for sheets as well as the usual duvet option made it comfortable. The room and bathroom were spotless ( even under my black light torch).
Breakfast was a gloriously civilised affair with fruit, choice of cooked breakfast items, pancakes, coffee, and toast. It set us up perfectly for the day. Keeping empty tables enabled staff to be extremely efficient as well as professional and friendly.
Judging by the packed car park the hotel was busy and yet we neither saw nor heard any evidence of this (beyond one rowdy group of golfers returning at 10pm.)
For budget stays I find Premier hard to beat.

Stayed here whilst is was warm but raining. Temp outside was 22, in the Room it was 28 and window only opens 3 inches “for our safety” - on the ground floor!

I read the other reviews and thought they must be exaggerating about the heat, but nope it’s true. It’s a lovely setting and brilliant being able to walk around the lake/river and everything else this location has to offer. But I will not be returning to this hotel because of the rooms and ridiculous window policy - no doubt I will get a response saying that there is a fan in room which can push the hot air about so what’s my problem. Let’s wait and see......

After the disappointment of another Premier Inn earlier in the trip, we took two rooms for three nights at this Premier Inn, another where we had stayed several times in recent years. It did not disappoint, although the lack of air-conditioning was especially felt during record-breaking heat.

The two rooms were clean, and the beds extremely comfortable. The cooked breakfast at the adjoining Granary was excellent, while our other meals were substantial enough and of good quality. The parking at the hotel is now monitored which meant there were sufficient spaces for residents which was not always the case before.

Our only criticism is that residents are meant to ask to have their rooms cleaned on future days if they stay more one night. Perhaps this is an innovation that will lead to payment of a supplement for those who do want their rooms cleaned every day, towels changed and beds made. At the moment there is no charge but, despite asking at 10.30am for our room to be cleaned on the second day it was "too late", despite the deadline being noon. At least clean towels were left, and the bed tidied if not made.

Having stayed at quite a few premier inns, none quite match up to the staff at Ferrymeadows. Pleasant efficient and professional. Rooms are fairly spacious comfortable and cleaned to a high standard by Karen and her army of cleaners , all willing to help whenever they can, extra tea or coffee , no problem. Reception is run like a well oiled machine with Craig and Sarah managing a multi national staff great rapport and friendliness. All in all a great place to stay.

Situated in a scenic area a Beefeater Granary and Garden centre on your doorstep with a short walk accessing the Nene Valley railway and the large Ferry Meadows wildlife area. The hotel overall was clean and provided large rooms and was adequate for a stopover at a very good price. The staff were great. Meals (breakfast & evening) were taken at the adjacent Beefeater Granary a very clean and beautifully designed interior that gave a relaxing feeling; the food quality and portions were excellent; the staff were brilliant; jovial and very efficient. Overall I certainly enjoyed this location and was certainly relaxed for my journey home.

Reception Staff: extremely knowledgeable, courteous, made it a pleasure to check in (18h00)
Room: Perfect, Premier Inn has the most incredible duvets and pillows (extra pillows already provided) all lights can be switched off in bed, no need to get out (and stand on that elusive Lego bit in the dark). Shower exquisite, no cramped shower banging into walls here, spacious enough for two.
Eco friendly: soap, shampoo, etc all in one with very little wastage and when you leave the room your lights all go off automatically saving money but more importantly the planet. Beyond highly recommended indeed

I travel alot for work and I stay in your hotels when ever possible. The service is always good but this one was the best by far. I had a lot of baggage and couldn't carry it all in one go so the man on reception helped me to my room I believe his name was Simon. I was made to feel more comfortable by the fact he wore a mask while carrying my bags and wipped the handles with sanitizer wipes before leaving them.
In the morning Craig was on desk before I left for work I asked for fresh towels they were ready for me when I came back handed to me as soon as I came through the door.
My tables for dinner were booked for me it was completely hassle free. I really enjoyed staying here the most relaxing work trip i have had

Stayed here with friends and young children for a night. As always super clean family room, comfortable beds, only downside was no aircon, obviously not a problem in cool weather, unfortunately we stayed during the heatwave so had a very uncomfortable night as fans in room just not doing the job, and reluctant to leave windows open as room was on the ground floor next to car park. Apart from that great stay, really nice staff and easy walking distance (around 10 mins with little children) to Ferry Meadows park.
