We stayed in Rowan cottage over Christmas, we were not impressed. The cottage was outdated, but what put a dampener on our stay was the disgusting smell in the cottage, it made me physically sick. My mum and dad stayed in Oak cottage and we had to spend the majority of our time at their cottage because I couldn't stand...

Stayed in Oak Cottage for 3 night with extended family and 6 year old grandson. Cottage was well stocked but very dated. It was very damp with humidifiers on landing and in lounge. Beds felt damp and bed linen was old. Floor boards and beds creaked. Booked through Hoseaons who are not interested in complaints. Certainly would not recommend, however...

Usually I thoroughly read through the reviews before booking somewhere but we took a chance on this one After feeling apprehensive on the journey to the cottages, we were pleasantly surprised by the location, welcome & the cottage itself Judith met us at reception, showed us into our accommodation & around the site (which includes a swimming pool & plenty...

Before we visited Brimham Rocks, I had flicked through the reviews and had made my own assumption as to what to expect... I was dreading it! We stopped in Lilac cottage, I travelled with my husband and our 6 month old Beagle - visited 12-16th September. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady (Not Judith) and shown to...

Our stay was actually prior to 2015 and just out of interest I was reading comments on here it's plain to see a pattern here! One of an especially rude owner and dated cottage!!! It's no wonder folk go abroad overrated place poor value for money!!! Still angry at this persons behaviour and untrue response on our friends page, time...

We spent a week in the Oak Cottage in this amazing little piece of old English countryside. The location is quiet, away from the city and in walking distance to the awesome Brimham Rocks National Trust site. (A must visit place if you have children under 18 that love the outdoors!) It was a wonderful week and really enjoyed ourselves....

My girlfriend and best friend visited the Rowan cottage for a get away and to celebrate my partners brothers. Upon arrival Judith showed us around and was very welcoming and helpful. We decided to waste no time and go straight into the hot tub. After being In there for a couple of hours the rude male owner (David?) barged into...

“For those with a young and active toddler, (but still in a travel cot), Willow cottage would not, in our opinion, be the best choice as there is a very beautiful, but very steep spiral staircase. Was fine for the first time we went with a babe in arms, but not so good now the 'little monkey' is mobile!”
