Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed here for a few days to see if we liked it as wanted to permanently site our caravan . Great pool and friendly life guard, nice dog walks. Wasn't made to feel welcome and when we visited the bar one evening our daughter and 2 other little girls were met with a barrage of orders, no dancing without shoes no running no cartwheels no spinning around. My god the fun police were out in force that evening, will not be returning

Charged full price alongside campsites with far better facilities, no map, just pointed across field, no info where showers/toilets & chemical disposal was. Open look field with a good play area for my daughter until gone 11pm & kids still playing/screaming like they are getting murdered. Some horrible kids there, asking my daughter to do dares! Ive brought my daughter up to be kind & caring so thankfully she did not parcipate! The service staff emptying bins were not discreet early morning, again not want you want, not relaxing. No sheltered areas, hedging to separate campers. Was not told of shop opening or arcade times so this was a miss! I walked around the site & it was like a council estate. The only decent thing was a brilliant shower block!

Had a great weekend at this site, beautiful food in the bar on Friday night, kids loved the swimming pool on Saturday, another superb meal on Saturday evening followed by great entertainment. End of season breakfast on Sunday morning (which only happens once a year -which is a shame) very good value for money. Weather wasn’t the best but can’t blame the owners for that.

We tried to book in for the weekend and we were told that there was room but unfortunately they only accept motorhomes and not van conversions! They shouldn’t be able to discriminate based on the type of vehicle you are in because the term “motorhome” means just that and our van is our home with a motor! So a battered old motorhome can book on but not our brand new, beautifully converted vans csnt? Doesn’t seem fair to me 😡

Have stayed here many times, staff are friendly and our two 5 year old twin foster children love it. Facilities are spotless, showers hot and powerful. Cars speeding on site can be a problem but that’s not the site owners fault. Food in the bar is very good, quality, cheap, fresh and tasty. Swimming pool is a good size and warm enough. Games room suits as it isn’t full of the usual £2 a go machines but lots of the older stuff and kids prize winning machines. Grass kept short, touring pitches are a little on the small side and some struggle with caravan awning and car on pitch space, but this is something they have said they’re looking to address in the winter. Kids play Park is centrally located and well equipped. Bins emptied daily, twice daily at busy times. Clubhouse has background music and alcohol isn’t overly priced as in some sites. They keep a very good cellar as they say as fraught beers are very good. The staff do get annoyed with parents that can’t keep their children under control ie standing on seats running around in the club area when food is being served. But generally are very good with the kids. Bingo on a Saturday and some Friday nights. Raising money for local hospital and air ambulance. All in all it’s a nice site with good facilities clean well kept and safe for kids. Would I come back definitely already booked.

We stayed at this site a few times many years ago and at the time we thought it was OK, but the staff could be a bit abrupt, and if you have kids for their sake and yours make sure neither you nor they make a sound during bingo. However, as someone has said they do have an indoor heated pool which is good. We were recently looking for a site to stay at with a couple of other members of the family as we haven’t done so for a few years, and we thought this may be a good option as it was with family that we stayed last time. My wife rang the site and asked if they had availability and was told to ring back that evening as they weren’t in the office, which she did and was told to call back in the morning, which she did and was told to ring back in the evening (picking up on a theme here). When my wife asked if they would have any pitches the lady she spoke to said she thought they probably would but didn’t know, my wife then said is there any chance you could check as we have been waiting 2 days to find out and we have other people waiting, to which she was told to call back and they hung up. When she rang back to complain, the gentleman she spoke to was rude as well. Will we stay here again, hell no. Would we recommend it, never!

Came to this site on a recommendation. Nothing to do on site. Site has minimal items in the shop. Club house doesn’t open till 7 pm. Nothing in walking distance. Only a small park for the kids. Only bonus here is the free swimming pool if you like swimming a lot
