A family-run business, we have recently become apart of the DoubleTree by Hilton collection. Built in 1900, the hotel is surrounded by acres of beautifully landscaped gardens that overlook the town. With 14 function rooms, a fully equipped Spa and Health Club, and parking, our hotel is the perfect destination for both business and pleasure. A Victorian landmark, the four-star hotel has 184 bedrooms and sits in the heart of the spa town of Harrogate. Just a mile from the train station and 10 minutes walk from the famous Betty’s Tea Rooms, it’s the perfect location to enjoy Harrogate’s quaint shops and spas; you can also easily venture into the beautiful landscape of the Yorkshire Dales. The Harrogate Spa will be opening 1st November 2019, boasting a heated indoor pool, rasul, spa pool, sauna room and steam room with a built-in Hymalian salt wall and 6 treatment rooms, 2 of which are Doubles. We have everything you need to relax.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We recently stayed in the hotel and the location to the town centre is great. The room was fantastic too with lovely views over the gardens Breakfast was very busy at the time we went down and despite the number of people waiting to be seated the breakfast staff managed the situation brilliantly. The food choices were amazing such a wide variety on off We’d highly recommend a stay at this hotel

Arrived on Saturday 13th August and no parking spaces available due to wedding event. Took an absolute age to check in. The rooms are a high price and basic with no air con, no refrigerator, no water, only one bedside table, and considering the room was booked for a couple, only provisions for one cup of coffee each. Although this is a spa hotel, dont think that by booking to stay you get to use the spa, you have to book a slot and only get 1hr as complimentary. You only get dressing gowns if you pay for the most expensive room, as the receptionist took great delight in telling us. We booked 3 nights, the first night we got very little sleep due to the loud music and the heat. The staff are very polite and friendly and Harrogate is an absolutely beautiful place to visit, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed a fabulous morning in the spa for my nieces hen weekend. with treatments and a lovely lunch/afternoon tea. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The pool and facilities were very good and clean. The therapists were excellent Jo, Alysson and Sophie provided a range of treatments. All eight of us agreed it was excellent value at £110 we will definitely return.

Understaffed. Poor attitude. Inefficient. Mediocre food. Would not recommend. Slow check in with long queues because of understaffing. Guests treated as a commodity not people. Can’t comment on the spa.

Very disorganised check-in, long standing time. Breakfast very comprehensive though hot food was tepid and coffee very bitter. Charming, friendly staff. Evening meal on first night started at 8.20 and ended 10. 40. Was booked for 7.30! Bar staff very efficient and friendly. Filming on day 1 was quite disruptive to movement around hotel.

Really helpful and friendly staff. Kya was gentle, warm, efficient and friendly when we ate our evening meal and Ben was a fabulous warm, chatty member of the breakfast waiting staff. He was particularly great at explaining the eclectic mix of guests, a great ambassador for equality and diversity. Saana and pool lovely. Room clean. Housekeeping staff very friendly too.

The grand entrance surrounded by Rolls Royces has a modern DDA compliant wheelchair lift. We had a lot of luggage so there being no porters I went and found a luggage gondolas. I was told by staff that although I could use the internal passenger lifts to transport my luggage to the room , I could not use the wheelchair lift to take my luggage from the car up the steps to the lobby.

We had afternoon tea offered by Groupon, taken on the terrace in the sunshine. An excellent selection of sandwiches and arguably the best freshly scones we have tasted, followed up by some fabulous cakes. Anna, our most pleasant of servers, was very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble, including her very generous offers to replenish our teas and coffees which were plentiful. We took our young son who was offered hot chocolate as an alternative which was a lovely touch. We will definitely return again.
