The Queens Head at Kettlesing near Harrogate is a traditional country inn serving good home cooked food, well kept real ales from Masham & Knaresborough and comfortable B&B accommodation. The Queens Head is mad about traditional homemade English food. Whether it's our all day Sunday Lunches or our famous Old Peculier steak pie or our yummy puddings, you can be assured you won't leave hungry. Our specials board changes regularly and the menu is varied and interesting. Don't forget we're open all day for food on Sundays when many other local restaurants are closed. The bar at the Queens Head has the welcoming hospitality, warmth and character of a traditional Yorkshire country inn, serving a selection of local real ales from Masham and Knaresborough. At the Queens Head enjoy one of our superb ask ales including Theakstons, Roosters and Black Sheep. Our wine list is full and varied with wines from around the globe plus a selection of fantastic champagne and sparkling wines. Relax by the roaring fire for a quiet pint and feel at one with the World! Beautiful pub and restaurant in an idyllic location. Great central meeting place for family from Newcastle and Manchester. We met fo Sunday lunch and loved it so much we stayed around all day and booked for dinner in the evening. Wonderful outdoors area to enjoy the peaceful location. The landlady and serving staff were so very welcoming, attentive and pleasant we can’t wait to go back. We travelled in our Motorhome and we were made welcome to stay overnight in the car park which had lots of space and we were able to tuck into a tree lined corner.

We chose the Queens Head for our break away as it was situated in a quieter, more rural part of the Yorkshire Dales. Kettlesing is a charming rural village, but not too far from Harrogate, Knaresborough and many other beautiful and interesting locations. This is 'no frills' quaint, basic accommodation., at a reasonable price. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and seemed to genuinely want us to enjoy our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable, if just a little old fashioned. The bathroom had obviously had an upgrade, with kidney shaped bath and over bath shower. There was no 'help yourself' table consisting of cereals, fruit, juice etc.. when we arrived at breakfast. The friendly waiter brought juice and cereal to your table if required. However the cooked breakfast was huge. Anything you wanted, cooked to perfection. Evening meals were very nice and plentiful. Quite a good choice with usually a couple of vegetarian meals on offer. Nothing at this place is calorie controlled! There is a lovely beer garden at the rear. This seems popular with locals. There are two other pubs only 2-3 miles away if you should decide to eat out somewhere different. Prices are comparable at them all. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this pub, but if you like modern decor, nouvelle quisine and a busy, bustling town, stay in the centre of Harrogate, but be prepared to pay the price!

Visited with some friends over last weekend and everyone agreed our stay couldn't have been better. Warm and welcoming, owner helpful in every possible way. We ordered an array of items from the menu and everyone was mightily pleased with their choices. Truly sumptuous! Perfect spot too with stunning surrounding scenery.

Everything was fantastic. The accommodation was very comfortable, the food was plentiful and delicious and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We stayed for two nights and were greatly impressed by the cleanliness and sanitizer facilities throughout. We felt extremely safe as all Covid rules were followed to the letter. A fabulous stay and will return when possible.
