I have stayed for four nights in Alderside. The room was cosy, breakfast was very well. The best of all was the owner, Angela, who takes good care of you! Harrogate is also a great place to visit a few days.

What a wonderful place to stay if need to be near Harrogate centre. A wonderful warm welcome from Angela, the owner, and like other reviewers the breakfast was delicious. Went with my two sisters and we really enjoyed it, everything we needed, no ensuite but there was only us three in, so sharing a lovely big bathroom was no problem.... More

It was my second visit to Harrogate, but first times at Alderside. I stumbled on their webpage and I can tell that it is the best stay you can ask for! Angela, the lady owner, was very lovely and kind. Though she had a injured leg during my stay. It didn't affect the quality standard of anything at all. The... More

If you want a modern spacious hotel then this is not the place for you, must say not the usual sort of place we stay but we really enjoyed it. Was perfect for 1 night. We stayed for my partners birthday its very close to the shops and pubs so ideal, yes was a little dated but added to the... More

Charming b&b, sweet and welcoming hosts, quiet street just a very short walk from the center of Harrogate. If you are looking for a romantic getaway however, this might not be your place because they have only twin beds. The owners couldn't be any nicer so if you don't mind sleeping apart and sharing a bathroom, this is the place... More

As I love to choose from variety of B&Bs, I was not satisfied with the range of offers on big booking sites. Therefore I used an accidentally found server (iknow-yorkshire.co.uk) and managed to get a room at Alderside Guest House. It is run by a charming and energic lady which makes her best to accommodate every need and wish of... More

What a hidden gem indeed- I was expecting a normal bed and breakfast and got a home from home. Angela- the proprietor is the most wonderful person, lovely and friendly and she also cooks the most fantastic breakfasts ever- if i wasn't just restricting myself after a week spent with my father I would have eaten more- but the taste... This B & B is not found on Hotel.com or Late Rooms.com but was a real find. We felt very welcome and comfortable at Alderside. The twin room we had was of a very generous size (bigger than our own bedroom at home) with Sky Tv, tea, coffee, biscuits and plenty of wardrobe space. It's location is a stones throw... More
