With an elegant Victorian exterior, the Yorkshire Hotel in Harrogate overlooks The Stray and offers a range of bedrooms just minutes from Bettys Tea Rooms & Harrogate Convention Centre. It has a Bar, Restaurant & Free WiFi. Many of our rooms feature a town-view and all benefit from complimentary toiletries supplied by H2K of Harrogate, a flat-screen TV and room service. Scran offers an a la carte menu of contemporary and imaginatively cooked British dishes and the bar serves a range of ales, spirits, wine and soft drinks. The vast majority of local attractions in the town are less than a 5 minutes' walk, Harrogate Bus & Rail Stations are closeby and Leeds Bradford Airport is just a 25 minute drive.

I pulled into bay 3 to park. At reception a charge of £15 was levied immediately and paid. As my wife and I were going to a show we were told by the receptionist to place a bollard in our car parking place when leaving for the show. On our return another vehicle had moved the bollard and parked in our place. The night porter told us it was not someone who had booked into the hotel and our parking monies would be refunded in the morning. I am at a loss as to why this hotel could not do a deal with the multitude of parking companies who supply cameras and police the parking - sending £90 fines to persons who do not lodge their car registration on the computer terminals supplies by the parking firms. I had to find a space on the public highway to park for the night. The rooms are not sound proofed the drone of next doors television permeated well into the early morning. The hotel is nothing special and is not suitable for disabled persons. I will not be using this hotel again.…

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you encountered issues with the parking during your stay with us. We are looking into different car park arrangements however it is slightly more difficult than you’d imagine. We are located on a busy road in the city centre which. We are unable restrict access. We do ticket cars which don’t have one of our permits displayed. Best Wishes, The Yorkshire Team

We recently had a lovely stay at The Yorkshire to celebrate my 30th birthday. We had a king room with balcony. The room was beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. The staff had left me a 30th birthday card in the room also which was a lovely touch! The bar, restaraunt and reception areas of the hotel are all finished to an extremely high standard and there were beautiful indoor and outdoor seating areas to enjoy food or drinks. The staff were very helpful and we felt went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a memorable one. The hotel itself is very central with excellent access to lots of restaraunts bars as well as lots of lovely shops that Harrogate has to offer. It was our first time staying here but we will absolutely be back again in the near future! Thank you for a great stay!…

Me and my sister Victoria were visiting Harrogate for our first time. The Yorkshire Hotel is in an amazing location only 2 minutes away from the town centre. Check in was 4 o’clock but that didn’t bother us as we went into Harrogate grabbed some lunch and did abit of Christmas Shopping. Parking spaces were limited but we managed to get a space as we came earlier. The check in experience was amazing from Amber and the other young blonde girl they were a fabulous team. Our room was superb we was overlooking Betty’s tearooms and the centre.Nice and comfy bed. It was a shame about breakfast if i were to visit again i wouldn’t book it.The breakfast staff were amazing but it just wasn’t to my standard. We will definitely be returning thank you for the brilliant stay!

Great hotel in a brilliant location. We had a nice deluxe room on the second floor overlooking the green. It was exceptionally hot even though it was a freezing snowy evening so we had to open the windows but better that then cold. Small longe area near reception was lovely and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Bar served great cocktails and 2 for £12 is great value. There is a function room on floor 5 and I suspect rooms close to it and immediately below will suffer badly from noise. We were on floor 2 and could hear a bit of noise at 11:30 pm but nothing that caused us any issue. Car parking is a bit of an issue. There are only a small number available and tightly packed in. It’s further compounded by the fact that guests can extend their car parking stay for a small fee after check out meaning they can stay parked all day and into the evening so new guests arriving can’t park. As this is a big issue for us - I’m a blue badge holder it means that sadly we are unlikely to return unless we go back to Harrogate via train.…

Thank you for taking the time and reviewing your recent stay with us here at The Yorkshire Hotel. We are very lucky with our central location in the heart of Harrogate. Our car park is very limited and is issued on a first come first service basis at £15 per night. This is clearly stated on all booking affiliates and stated again in all the re stay correspondence. We are pleased to hear you found your rooms warm and comfortable. We do have a small guest lounge next to reception were tit is very festive! We hope to see you another time. Best Wishes, The Yorkshire Team.

We are currently here thank god it is only for 1 night, parking is not great, room is so cold couldn’t even shower to get ready for night out, we informed the lady on reception but she did nothing about it, we complained before we went out for tea got back and room is still cold and the sink stinks of bad drains 🤢 when we got back the reception staff had changed so told the gentleman and he got us a heater. The bar in hotel was lovely and warm so why arnt the rooms !!! Would not recommend sadly it ruined our stay after a very stressful week in our life, we came away for a treat but it’s one of the worst stays in a hotel in my life, such a shame as it’s a beautiful hotel in a fab location

Lovely hotel, beautifully decorated for Christmas. Lovely atmosphere. Perfect location in the centre of town. We had a suite with a balcony overlooking the park which was well appointed and very comfortable. it snowed and the Christmas lights in the park created a magical scene!

Terrible Terrible Terrible, don’t stay at this hotel . I knew as soon as we arrived this place was going to be a bad experience. The car parking is a disaster, the room was red hot, no make up mirror in the bathroom, with limited toiletries. We came up to our room on a Sunday evening to thumping nightclub music which to be fair stopped at 11am, but the noise from the room above was horrendous we could hear the person upstairs snoring loudly, we then heard him going to the toilet at 4am then 6am, the walls are paper thin so we both had very little sleep, wish we had paid a bit extra and stayed at the hotel Du Vin as stayed before and had a far better experience . Yorkshire you need to seriously up your game. Shocker

This is clearly stated on all booking affiliates and stated again in all the re stay correspondence. I am sorry that you expected something different. The heating is controlled by the heater in each of the rooms. If you were struggling with this we could have assisted. We don’t have makeup mirrors but additional toiletries can be provided on request however there’s more than a sufficient amount for a couple of nights stay. I am sorry that you could hear your neighbouring room. We hope to see you another time. Best Wishes, The Yorkshire Team.

Booked dinner bed and breakfast. It is downhill from there. Check in ok, was not informed we had to book dinner (bad !). When we eventually got a rable at 9 pm 5 things on the menu were unavailable..... so so bad and poor planning by the kitchens. Really not happy with the overall service this hotel provides. AVOID !!!!)
