Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow!! What a gorgeous house. Highly recommend, every room was lovely and everything you could possibly need provided to make our stay more perfect. Superb equiped kitchen. Really comfortable beds and gorgeous bedding (several of us took pictures of the labels so we could buy the same) Fantastic location to Harrogate town where there is plenty of places to eat and drink if you don't want to cook. And then there's Karen who was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble, she went above and beyond to help our stay better. And finally there's the hamper thats provided with everything to get your stay started, really nice products. Karen...keep doing what you are doing cause it's perfect. Look forward to seeing you again. From the 60th Birthday guys

This is a stunning property in an ideal location. My extended family of 10 spent a wonderful two weeks here as we explored Harrogate, the Yorkshire Dales, the North York Moors, and York and Leeds. The spacious house is very comfortably furnished and looks exactly as shown in the pictures. The neighborhood is quiet and great for walking. There is an ASDA grocery store about a 7-minute walk away, and the town is about a 10-minute walk. There is comfortable seating in both the living room and the dining room. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking, which we did almost daily for breakfast and dinner. We washed clothes almost daily with no problems. The host is easily accessible on-site and is very responsive to questions or problems. When the coffee maker stopped working, she provided another one the same morning. We had mostly nice weather so we also enjoyed the picnic table outside. We hope to come back soon.

A great house for our group of ten friends- 5 couples. The house is superbly stocked to make your visit like a home from home. Brilliant location so we were able to ditch the cars and walk into Harrogate for our daily explorations of the town’s bars, restaurants, beautiful gardens and shops. Karen is brilliant- answers all your questions in the build up to the stay, offers advice on the best places to eat via the brilliant guidebook, and responds to any queries or requests during the stay. She also welcomes you with a lovely hamper of goodies- so generous. A fabulous house which made our reunion all the more enjoyable.

We had a wonderful family February half term in this lovely house . Great location for walking to the town centre pubs and restaurants or to grab a takeaway. The glorious Yorkshire Dales are a short drive away and we also had a fun day at nearby Wetherby racecourse.

A group of us booked out Acorn lodge for a long weekend to celebrate a friends wedding and we cannot recommend the place enough. Everything was perfect down to the lovely welcome basket waiting for us on arrival. The rooms were just as described and the kitchen had everything we needed to cater for ourselves. The location itself is also perfect for strolling into Harrogate to explore or for dinner meaning we didn’t have to drive all weekend! I’ve been asked by the group if we can go back every year…which I think says it all!

We stayed at Acorn Lodge for our 1st family holiday in 2 years. There were 13 of us and having the whole house to ourselves was great. Facilities and space at the house were perfect and its only a very short walk into Harrogate where there are some great bars, restaurants and shops. During our stay we visited lots of lovely places including Knaresborough. Would 100% recommend for any large groups.
