We had an excellent 2 night's stay. All of the staff were amazingly friendly. The food in the restaurant was awesome. We were a little disappointed that breakfast was now a buffet but the staff got us Poached eggs and well cooked bacon direct from the kitchen

Hotel's Favourite
Another visit and this time we chose to stay in the three bed apartment, it's amazing, so much space, clean, great facilities, every room has an en-suite, Lovely kitchen area which would be great to cook and eat in if there weren't so many wonderful restaurants to choose from in Harrogate. The lounge was separate from the kitchen which meant it was a great space for the older teens, particularly as it had an X box they could use. It's ideally located for easy access to everything with parking on site. If you want the luxury of a hotel but the independence of self catering then this is the perfect place. We will definitely be booking into one of the apartments again. Just to add that the staff were all there usual friendly selves, the hotel is clearly following government guidelines, plenty of hand sanitiser available, every where was lovely and clean and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend a stay here.

We had booked this hotel as part of our honeymoon. I contacted the hotel to mention this and to ask if we could have a room with a nice view within our room price bracket. We couldn't have been given a worse room in my opinion. There was no view and we were directly above multiple fans from the roof below which were quite noisy. The room was smaller than expected but clean and comfortable. The reception team didn't acknowledge our honeymoon not even a congratulations which would have been nice. We booked a meal at The Fat Badger for 19:30 and arrived at 19:25 and was told to go and buy a drink at the bar and to come back in 5 mins which we and another couple found very odd and not very good customer service. The hotel is in a nice location but I don't think I will return there which is a shame as we will be staying in Harrogate quite often in the coming year. The parking charge is £12 which is disappointing, shouldn't guests be able to park for free or at a much substistised rate as the hotel isn't cheap to stay in.

The public rooms are decorated in dark grey with low lights and candles at night making it very differcult to see. There is a raised area in the bar with a handrail and lights at one end.but not at the other.I missed my footng and tripped twisting.my arm. Another lady tripped after me.Fat Badgers I had to use the torch on.my phone to read the menu as our table did not have a lamp.Back in the bar there was no social distancing or sanitiatison and I had to ask for our table to be cleared and wiped.I did not feel safe and since found.out Harrogate has the highest number of Covid cases in Yorkshire...its no wonder. Our bedroom was ok but why no biscuits on the hospitality tray? There was a rancid smell in our bathroom which I reported but just a note was made.On commenting to the receptionist about the darkness and my accident she said it was a 'theme' and the owner liked it dark. My question is does the owner want the guests injured?I dont and thank goodness we only stayed one night....not to be repeated. The one positive is the lovely outdoor seating area but the negative is that it is filled with smokers and dirty ash trays..All in all not a good experience.Lynda Ward.

Good Hotel in a Great Location for exploring Harrogate. Fat Badger Bar and Restaurant on hand but plenty of alternative restaurants within walking distance. Staff extremely helpful in advising on local places of interest.
