On arrival we were quickly dealt with and shown to our room which was spacious and clean. The evening meal was of good quality and well cooked but would have expected more than half a carrot and spoonful of greens as the vegetable portion. The bathroom sink was stained and pitted and there was signs of damp by the window...

We visited the Wharf House 8th Oct 2016 as a party of four. The food was excellent top class. Beautifully presented and cooked to perfection! The menu varied and interesting. Staff fairly attentive although they did forget our last round of drinks. But for food, we could not fault the place! We will definitely be visiting again and can't think...

Well what do we say, yes it is a little different to most hotels - it describes itself as a restaurant with rooms. Lets start at the beginning - The hotel is just a short distance from Gloucester, but not difficult to find using the sat nav postcode supplied. Nice location, near the canal and river severn with gentle walks...

My husband and I stayed here on 1st September and I loved it. Why, great location as on the canal and by the river. Our room was a good size and over looked the river. The bathroom was well equipped. The food in restaurant was great and I would love to go back again. If you have not visited then...

Went for lunch one Sunday; it was nice, but I would not be bothered to go again. It felt more like an ordinary dining room, than something special. It has potential to be very atmospheric, but not as it is at the moment. The food was good. It seemed odd to be walking into a "shop" area at the front...

The room we had was beautiful. We had our collie dog with us and it was perfect for him, plenty of room for his bed etc, and a short walk around the wharf just on our doorstep. The bathroom was great, large with a spa bath and overhead shower as well as a wet room shower. The staff were all...

We visited for Dinner only and can't comment on the rooms. If you like quiet and excellent food then this is the place for you. Owned by the Gloucestershire and Herefordshire Canals trust this private restaurant with rooms offers a peaceful and pretty location for an evening meal. I went with two chums and sadly there was only one other...

We stopped for lunch on our way back from the Forest of Dean, it is a little hard to find and although I knew about it I wasn't sure where it was until we looked for it. It was early (12.30pm) and the place was empty so we weren't even sure that they were open however we were offered a...

We had an overnight stay at this hotel for a special celebration. The welcome was warm, from Hannah, and we were shown straight to our room which was very well equipped. We had a delightful lunch on the terrace overlooking the river. Service, again from Hannah, was impeccable and food was excellent. However, our impressions changed at dinner. The service...
