I booked this guest house at short notice for 2 nights over the August Bank Holiday weekend. It was in the location I needed, was reasonably priced and accepted dogs so ticked all the boxes for me. I arrived at 7.30pm and was greeted at the front door by a very pleasant and helpful man who showed me to my room and gave me keys for the front door and my room, which was in the basement. The room was small but spotlessly clean and perfectly adequate and despite being in the basement, there was a window letting some daylight in. There was a spacious ensuite shower with a toilet and there was a washbasin in the main room where the bed was. The bed was comfortable and the TV had a good picture. There was a communal room on the ground floor, which I didn't use but it had coffee/tea and I believe there was a microwave. There are 6 parking spaces at the front of the property. The best thing about the location was that it was right opposite Gloucester Park which was ideal for walking for my dogs. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely book this guest house again.

My first impression of the room was "gosh its small" but actually it was ok. There was a shower and loo added into what would not have been a big room to start with but the design was good. The shower was plenty big enough not cramped at all and there was enough space to get dry. Sink outside this area not sure why but not a problem.
Tv mounted on wall over door, right angle to watch from the bed. Room to get dressed but not to walk around. In practice it didnt bother me.
Breakfast self service in dining room but with covid easier to take it back to room. Reasonable choice too.Half a dozen or so choices of cereals and jams/spreads. Toast yogourt cheese slices. Fruit juices and tea/coffee. Also use of fridge and microwave.
Park just across rd opposite and short walk to docks, city centre and cathedral.
Parking 3 spaces on front and 3 spaces opposite. Otherwise road fairly full. And a lot of driveways so couldnt block them. Not sure how many of other car spaces opposite were private for other houses.
My only issue, bed quite worn, matress not flat so not that comfortable to relax on but didnt keep me awake at all and didnt give me any back trouble so mot a real issue.

This guest house is spotlessly clean, and I was met at the door by very friendly owners. The bedroom was large and airy - and WARM on a cold winter's night. Ensuite was everything you could expect. There is a communal dining room for do-it-yourself breakfast. It's well stocked and the large stainless worktops are immaculate, despite the number of people using the place. Altogether a great place to stay on a budget.
It's about 15 minutes walk to the city centre. I wouldn't want to walk back from the city late at night ... the lovely Gloucester Park, which it overlooks, is a bit scary after dark!!! Get a taxi.

What can I say that convey to you how poor this facility was. I paid £178 for 2 nights in a room that would have been small for a neonate. The bed was the worst I’ve slept in. Narrow, creaky and cheap. Mattress and pillows flat. Curtains thin. Kettle didn’t work. No soap in the shower dispenser. Shower filthy with black mould. Hot tap in the basin was not properly affixed to the bowl. I had to squeeze past the table to get to the basin which was in the bedroom and not the bathroom. I biscuit available. No room to put your case. Sound proofing non existent. Oh and the sliding door to the bathroom was not fixed at the bottom. Now, moving on to the catering facilities. The dining areas were cold. There was no crockery or cutlery or rather insufficient as one had to wash up previous residents items in order to have a bowl and a plate. I never did find a spoon to eat my cereal, just a teaspoon that I managed to find. Cheapest bread and spreads, coffee and tea imaginable. All in all shoddy in the extreme. This would have been an easier pill to swallow if the pricing had reflected the actual experience on offer, if it had it would have been about £40 for both nights. One notch up from camping. So, any good points? Yes. Others in my party had better rooms and one person had a room that actually looked good! The location is good and the fact that there was good parking in the vicinity was a boon. So, avoid room 102 if at all possible.

If you want a cheap budget bnb in a very dodgy area that smells of damp and is very run down then this is the place for you.
I stayed in the basement room which was very small and absolutely stunk of damp.
Shower cubicle had all damp around silicone.
Trims and fixing coming away from the walls.
Felt very dirty when I left this bnb as didn’t wasn’t to have a shower because of the damp/mould.
Steet that the bnb is in is very run down.
Only stayed because we had been out drinking all day at the football so didn’t really see how bad it was until the morning when I woke up. I wouldn’t have stayed otherwise.
Can’t comment on the breakfast as didn’t eat it and got out asap in the morning and went for breakfast up the road at the beefeater.
Yes it’s very cheap. £65 for the night but come on clean it up etc it’s not nice.

Spacious and warm (in Feb) double en suite room, which was clean, decent towels etc and good sized/pressure shower. Comfortable bed and wi-fi was fine. 'Continental breakfast' is a bit of a stretch but there's sliced bread, spreads, cereal, milk, yoghurts and juice, which is made clear by the guest house. Floorboards above my room were very creaky, noticeably so in the early morning but it's an old-ish building, so... All in all a good stay.

The coded door locks makes check in and out so easy and I wish all placed did it like this.
Room price was reasonable and very easy to book.
Managed to get one of the parking spaces right outside.
Room was very clean and had all I needed.
Loved the kitchen area with things you can help yourself to at anytime, again wish all places did this.

Vibrators and banging going off all night. The place stunk of cannibis!! I wouldn't recommend that families or children stay in this adult adventure playground. The beds were uncomfortable. The towels were shabby. There are holes in the wall where someone has obviously got angry because of the buzzing of Vibrators!!!

Felt unsafe...slept with wallet under pillows. Poor standard furnishings. Absent host (access by keycode; diy breakfast). Hot drink facilities / cleanliness were positives, however I'll not be returning anytime soon.

I stayed only one night here but really liked it. The room was very comfortable. The self-service kitchen was great and the staff were very friendly. It's away from the centre of town but no more than a fifteen minute walk and no more than a ten minute walk to The Docks, a new development on the river. I'd stay here again.
