Late afternoon I discovered that my motorhome service would not be completed that day - after a few phone calls it became obvious that the budget chains were completely full [top marks to Holiday Inn Express at Shenstone who spent some time trying to find me a room for the night elsewhere]. An internet search revealed Amber House had a...

We only stayed one night at this B&B. I would be fine with it if the price was appropriate to what we're getting. I would say it's not worth more the £50 a night at a push. We were charged £85 because we stayed over the Download Festival weekend, which is a massive rip off. Room is basic, looks shabby,...

Cheap hotel and was obvious. Car park was 3 spaces on the front of the house. Room was big, freezing cold when we entered with window open, bed moved even when you sat on it, shower was in a tiny bathroom that you had to go down 2 steps not even big enough for a size 5 foot, drunk you...

We booked the Amber Guesthouse through Booking.com for a one night stay in Derby. We had read a couple of reviews which had said that the place was shabby but clean and for £20 each bed and breakfast we decided to risk it. Reception was tidy but a little dated and we were shown to our room on the first...

Greeted by a pleasant fella who showed us to our rooms. The place looks a little shabby but the room was comfortable . Good quaility toilet paper but no toiletries. A bar of soap in the bathroom would have been nice. The dining room was very cold but had a mirrorball on the ceiling . . . breakfast was prepared...

I don't normally give bad reviews but this place was terrible. The girl that greeted me was nice but that's the only good thing I have to say really! The room was badly decorated and unclean and the shared toilet had a carpet that made me want to wear shoes in there! The shower went hot/cold every 10secs. The corridors...

This place needs a bulldozer. I will be contacting trading standards and any other high authority about this place. It is revolting. The pictures that you see on the Internet are nothing like the crumbling down room you get. Upon arrival I was taken to my room, which was down a ridiculously tiny corridor, which was pitch black and had...

This is by far the worst little spot of hell I have ever had the displeasure of visiting - and paid for the privalage (fighting for a refund). The lightswitch was so filthy I tured it on with my coat seeve, my 'bedroom' has wallpaper peeling off of the wall, 4 different pieces of carpet....yes....4! The 'bathroom' is absolutely vile...

After reading the reviews, i was expecting something on par with Guest House Paradiso, but it was far from the bad reviews, the room we stayed in was nice clean and warm, the bed was super comfy, the breakfast was fresh cooked to order and the staff were very pleasant, i spent 5 days there, would i go back again...
