Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Super comfortable beds, very nice staff especially the housekeeping staff. Breakfast was good with lots of choice to suit everyone. I will definitely use Delta by Marriott again (stayed in a Hilton just after this stay and there was no comparison, Delta was easily far superior). Highly recommended.

The room was clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful. On arrival I was informed by another guest that the hotel had asylum seekers on the 1st and 4th floor and security would be wandering around. As a lone female traveller this was very disconcerting. No where had this been advertised and the reception staff didn't mention this on arrival especially as I was given a room on the 1st floor. This is not transparent from the hotel or stated anywhere on their website and should be explained to paying guests prior to check-in, should they which to seek alternative accommodation. There was a football match that evening on TV so there was lots of cheering emanating from these floors. I'd been travelling for hours so expected a restful night's stay. The food and drink was extremely expensive and certainly not good value. There was very little choice for dietary considerations. The vegetarian halloumi salad consisted of so much little gem lettuce (it must have been 3+ lettuces), two slices of radish, undercooked asparagus, broccoli and halloumi and not one tomato all for £16+ and over £7 for a pint, plus service charge. Although I paid extra for a room including breakfast this was actually very good although one coffee machine was broken and the coffee was very watery. I've stayed at much better Marriott's and indeed cheaper hotels, but this was chosen due to location. Best avoid and just stay elsewhere in Swindon, saving money too.

Hotel is lovely and modern in parts. Staff are very friendly and helpful. What was very strange is security guards on each floor…. Why? Is there a security concern? This was very disconcerting. Food prices for Swindon are over priced and just ok quality. The heating system in the room was very old and very noisy so couldn’t be left on over night so was cold. Doubt I’ll rush back.

This is a decent hotel and for the right price I would go again. Positives: Good sized clean rooms with nice features like USB charging ports, reading lights on bed, iron and ironing board, fridge etc. Comfortable bed and pillows Loads of storage space Quiet, had a good sleep. Pleasant pool/gym areas free to use. Pool is quite small but was not very busy when I stayed. Sauna/steam room were small but working. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Easy to park outside - cost £5 Disabled access Room for improvement: Would prefer more veggie options at breakfast e.g. veg sausages at least. Didn't eat here as the menu was really expensive - nearly £20 for fish and chips! - we went to Marios which is 10-15 min walk to town and was extremely good, reasonably priced - highly recommended! Some of the fixtures in the bathroom of the room need maintenance. Pool area and facilities need to be bigger

An excellent hotel, of which the staff are its star attraction. Great bunch of people. Not so good for a long stay unless you eat out as the food can become rather monotonous after a few weeks. Rooms are clean and the vast majority of the house maids do a great job. Parking is not a problem. Good pool, though a little to cool for me. Good gym also.

The hotel is not worth the money you pay for it. The interiors haven't been updated in a long time got a feeling that you're in the late 80s, mid 90s. The gym and pool are dirty, the sauna is constantly falling apart - the benches are broken.. Some gym equipment has parts missing, which hasn't been addressed for many years.

The hotel was very good, the facilities were very good, the drinks were okay, a bit pricey but not too bad. The breakfast was fantastic and hot, they kept replenishing the food. I’d definitely return and recommend it to other people as it was great value.

Can’t fault our stay at this hotel. We did the deal package and had a superior room that was great. Very comfortable bed and the heating and aircon worked very well the room had a coffee machine and everything you need. The breakfast was very good with a fantastic selection. The hotel was very clean the bar area very pleasant and the meal we had at our function very nice. The staff were all very attentive and courteous from check in to check out. The hotel exceeded expectations and will definitely book again and use the swimming pool. The parking is free and plentiful but you do need to register your car to prevent a fine.

i have got to say i was disappointed never stayed in a Marriot before and was expecting maybe too much, it is nowhere near as good a Holiday Inn We wanted to contact the hotel prior to arrival but they have no email address ( not that i could find anyway) they have a fax number though? Biggest problem we had was the room had no toilet roll and it took about 50 minutes to get any, when you're busting for a poo 50 minutes sees like an eternity! The room itself is a peculiar affair, there is no main light in there just bedside lamps so it is always dark . This is not helped by how filthy the windows are in fact the whole room could of done with a bit of a clean the bath had sereal stains in it and the toilet was no where near as clean as you would hope. For some reason i can not for the life of me work out there is a odd phone charge thing in the room (what's wrong with a plug) which lights up blue the whole time and cant be switched off so when sleep time has arrived you can never get the room dark enough. The telly while being massive did not work, the only thing i could get was an advert for the hotel, " would say "loading menu" and "then failed to load menu" and go back to the advert. Nearly reported it to reception but after taking so long to sort toilet roll i decided against it. The bed was comfy and the art in room was interesting enough pique one's interest they were very measly with regards to tea and coffee though. It was nice to have a bath but the shower gel was fixed to the wall out of reach of any bather so you can't wash yourself while in the bath which seems an oversight. The swimming pool was tiny and often cut in half so had a capacity of 6 people and the lockers in the gents did not work. The other thing that got me was the price of everything, they even charge you to borrow an umbrella! a can of coke was something like 3 or 4 quid for just a normal can. The staff were very friendly and the reception area was nice.
