We are a family run guest house near to the centre of Telford on a quiet road and next to a small family friendly pub. As such we are ideally placed for both business and leisure guests. There is plenty of free parking and we offer secure cycle storage for the more energetic. Carol and Dave have run Stone House since 2004. All our rooms are en suite and we try hard to offer outstanding hospitality at very competetive prices. We provide the personal touch that you don't get with the chain hotels and have extensive knowledge of Telford and the surrounding areas having lived here since 1990.

Stayed at The Stone House last night with friends. Made to feel welcome as soon as we got there. Filled in our details for track & trace. Rooms were spotless and well kitted out with everything you need. Plenty of options for breakfast - cereals, fruit, toast, tea, coffee & juice and of course a full english. All covid safety measures in place. Well worth the 2 hour journey from Manchester -we will be back hopefully for longer. Thank you Carol and Dave 😊xx

A lovely warm cosy house and you felt at home straight away. Carol and Dave were fantastic hosts, very welcoming following all the covid 19 rules, tracking,sanitizer and face masks.The room was lovely,clean with a variety of beverages and a small fridge. The bathroom was beautifully decorated, towels provided. The breakfast was like a 3 course and presented well.Carol and Dave couldn't do enough for you to ensure your stay was perfect. The weekend just gone, I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful place. I stayed for 2 nights and right from the off I was made to feel welcome and at home. In the difficult time we all have had recently, it was clear they are taking every precaution necessary and I filled in my track and trace and was shown to my room. It was very clean, spacious, and even little details like a caramel rocky chocolate bar (my favorite in a treat basket) which was a really nice touch. The bathroom en suite was beautiful and clean and the decoration was really fresh. The couple carol and dave are wonderful people who will do anything for you to make your stay perfect, including a wonderful breakfast which both days really were great (clean plate 2 days running). I was there visiting friends that I have not seen for a while and I will be defiantly returning very soon, if it is business, or pleasure this is a place that would make anyone very very happy. Another fabulous stay at the Stone House. Rooms are immaculate and the breakfast is to die for! Dave and Carol are perfect hosts! Next door is The Lion pub, serving great food and is fully COVID compliant. Can’t recommend The Stone House enough.

We stayed at the Stone House as my Father in Law passed away during lock down. The owners couldn’t do enough for us - they were fantastic. The rooms were immaculate, the dining room was very spacious, the breakfast was tasty and you could pretty much order what you liked. The beds were comfortable, there was tea, coffee, biscuits, water and fresh milk in the room. TV was great and wifi complimentary. We were in the front room, near the main road and we couldn’t hear a thing. The road isn’t very busy anyway but we heard nothing. We had a great nights sleep. The outdoor courtyard was lovely to sit in during the evening, it’s covered and we sat out there in the rain! We genuinely felt looked after and cared for at the Guest House, no request was too much. The owners really take pride in their work and it shows. If you’re looking for a family run, personal experience - stay here. We’d much prefer this experience than staying in a larger, more corporate place. Thanks so much. …
