Had a lovely night stay at ingleside house .. Breakfast was good and the bed was the compfiest bed I've stayed in. Room was a decent size with a lovely shower.. And the owner remembered our names which adds a nice personal touch... Would definitely stay again...

I just finished another 2 nights stay at the Ingleside House, having been to Inglenook and another of her Bed & Breakfasts.
I again had another excellent stay. I am using her house as my base when being over in Bolton for work (and been with her for the past 8 months) and enjoying a good WiFi signal to work in the evenings.
The room, and bathroom, as well as the rest of the property was spotlessly clean.
Very quiet neighborhood, great view from my room. Fridge and Microwave available for self catering in the evening is rounding it up. Off street parking.
Wonderful breakfasts.
Christine is an excellent host and makes you feel so welcome.
An overall pleasurable experience and I will recommend Ingleside House to friends and family.

Didnt like the stairs going up to our room. I felt like my knee was going under me and I didnt like the slanted walls as me and my partner kept banging our heads. I struggled getting in and out of the bath as the bath panel nearly broke off. Bed wasnt comfy as I had sore shoulders next morning. Breakfast was awful. I love my sausages proper cooked and proper well done. Proper breakfasts should be steaming hot and it wasnt and the bacon was a disgrace.

This so called hotel is very poor value for money. We booked based on these trip adviser reviews and seriously thought we'd arrived at the wrong address. This hotel is basically a poorly maintained unmanned domestic bungalow with rented bedrooms. Our bedroom was poorly equipped with single beds and questionable bed linen and fittings. We paid £155 for (thankfully) one night only to find out contrary to the booking.com advert that there was no breakfast included, in fact there was no staff here at all just instructions to leave the key where we found it "under the wheelie bin". Truthfully this is just a poorly equipped room overlooking an overgrown garden and dog kennels.
If you do have the misfortune to find yourself here we can recommend a really good Wetherspoons in Darwen that opens early for breakfast.

Enjoyed my stay and very much deserves its rating, two moans though, had bath in our en-suite and would much prefer shower, but a lovely facility all the same, so will ask for room with shower on a future visit, breakfast in kitchen where food is prepared not quite to everyone's liking but again owners extremely friendly and talkative so not something that would keep me away.

I stayed here for an evening last week and was very impressed by the excellent customer service, friendliness of the landlady Christine and value for money of this B & B. The bed was extremely comfortable and the landlady could not have been more helpful or accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here while working in the local hospital and the landlady is very kind and accomodating and keeps everything very clean and comfortable. Brekfast is lovely at the other house but Christine make sure there is always milk and cereal and fruit in the kitchen. There is a lovely garden at the back of the house and its nice and quiet.

I have been staying at both Ingleside and Inglenook for every week day and on some weekends for over three months whilst on business. The welcome / attention that I have received have been absolutely first class and in the upper echelons of what I have experienced whilst working away from home for almost 30 years. Nothing has been too much trouble for Christine including dealing with my requests to obtain a room at short notice during a weekend, extend / reduce my stay and even finding a local doctor for me when I was poorly. The rooms are very clean, well decorated and maintained. The full English breakfast is cooked to suit your taste but if you want a healthier option and leave early in a morning, etc. Christine will supply you with cereals, fruit, yoghurt, juices. If you want to cook for yourself on an evening that option is available. Both locations have enough parking and are in quiet, semi-rural locations close to the M61 motorway and Lostock railway station. In summary I could not have asked for more during my stay and I would definitely recommend these hotels to business or pleasure travellers.

Lovely family and very welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble for guests, any time of the day. Beautiful rural lane in the Lancashire countryside, and well situated for a visit to nearby attractins or towns, especially Bolton.
