Disgraceful !!! Cold room with no control if heating! You have to download the app on your phone to work the heating nut it is still controlled from elsewhere!!! Paid to stay in the penthouse suite but was cold all night! Room was good apart from that.

Dear Guest, Many thanks for taking the time to leave feedback regarding your stay. We are naturally disappointed to read that you had trouble with the heating in your room. I have communicated your comments to the Housekeeping team so they are aware of your feedback. We do have instructions of how to use this system in the room and it can be adjusted without the app, I am sorry that you did not manage to get it working properly. I have made a note for our team to check that instructions are clear in the rooms, again sincere apologies. Finally thank you for mentioning that the room was up to standards in general. We do hope we have the pleasure to welcome you back to the hotel in the future. Warm Regards Bolton Stadium Hotel

Not exempolary but not the worst. You get what you pay for with this one. The rooms are very budget and have not been updated for a number of years, and you can tell. The decor and furnitures in the room have definitely seen some things. Sadly, it appears the rooms have been neglected when updating the lobby and other parts of the hotel. They do come with a bath, which is a bonus. The service at reception is brilliant, they're very efficient and friendly. I would stay here again, but only if there was an offer on the cost.

Dear Guest, Many thanks for taking the time to leave feedback regarding your stay. We are naturally disappointed to read that you were disappointed with the bedroom fixtures and fittings appearing tired. I have communicated your comments to the Housekeeping team so they are aware of your feedback. We are in the process of making changes to the Hotel as you noted that the lobby has been updated and the public seating area on Level 1. I am delighted to advise that we are planning a bedroom upgrade, which has been long awaited after the Covid spell when it was touch and go to whether we would even survive re-opening our doors again !! We will use your feedback accordingly and look forward to welcoming you back in the coming months when we will have a percentage of newly refurbished rooms to offer you. Finally thank you for mentioning our Reception Team - they will be delighted that their hard work has been recognised. We do hope we have the pleasure to welcome you back to the hotel in the future. Warm Regards Bolton Stadium Hotel

This could be a great hotel but the cleanliness of the room, particularly the bathroom, was subpar at best. Our room was not serviced during our stay and while it was only 2 nights, I spoke to other guests who had been there all week and were yet to have their room serviced at all. It left the room short of toilet paper, tissues and with full rubbish bins. Others who enquired about additional toilet paper and tissues were advised to get it themselves from a storage room. The staff were helpful though when I enquired about Laundry services close by which was appreciated. The onsight bar and restaurant for breakfast were average though for the price paid, they were not unexpected. I would not return.

This venue/hotel has a lot of work to do. I booked a two-night stay for a business conference. To be fair, the conference, reception, and bar staff were lovely, helpful and friendly The room itself was basic. Only found the kettle when packing to leave as it was packed away in a drawer! No water was available in the room, so I had to go back to the bar to get a glass of water. There was a constant smell that I originally thought was coming from the bathroom but wasn't. It was musty and damp which kept catching the back of my throat and making me gag. The room wasn't cleaned, or the bed made during my stay - due to a shortage of staff - a note was pushed under the door. It is what you expect from Raddison! You can tell it is due to have a refit. The pricing should reflect that. I did say to the reception staff I should have stayed across the road at the Premier Inn.

Stayed over for the Carlisle vs Bolton game on Saturday. Nice welcome from reception and room was nice. Bathroom could possibly do with a Spruce up. Bar and restaurant area clean and tidy. Clearly new furniture in there. Drinks reasonably priced and they had a singer on which was good. Overall super stay, check out quick and again a goodbye and enjoy your day from the nice young man. Thank you.

Dear Caterina, Many thanks for taking the time to leave valuable feedback regarding your recent stay with Bolton Stadium Hotel. Bolton Stadium Hotel is currently undergoing some improvements, of which have started in the public areas and due to the size of our site, it is a lengthy project. The Hotel is now over 20 years old so it will take time to correct all the maintenance required, but I can assure you that some of the points you have raised are part of the overall maintenance programme. If you had raised the comments with Reception, we could have looked at resolving or looked at alternatives, subject to availability. I have also communicated your comments to our Housekeeping Manager regarding the comments you have made regarding the room. I do hope that the experiences you had does not deter you from using our Hotel as we would love to have the pleasure to welcome you back in the future, especially once all the improvements have been made. Thank you once again for providing us with your feedback. With kind regards Bolton Stadium Hotel

We have recently stayed in this hotel for 6 nights as part of a tour. The location is great and we were on a soccer/football tour but……. This is not what I would call a typical Raddison hotel standard and is in desperate need of refurbishment. The rooms are very small and my 10 year old was on a roll out bed leaving no room for cases and the room table had been moved close to the door which meant you couldn’t open the door to the room easily. If you had tried to swing a cat it would have gone out of the window. Which brings me to another issue. The room smelt awful to the point we had to leave the window open permanently. Add to this the hotel allowing people to bring in takeaway food into their rooms meant our floor continuously smelt like a bad Indian takeaway. The wallpapered wall adjacent to my sons bed was covered in dust and dirt and the carpet around the skirting board and door to the bathroom had ingrained dirt. The bathroom has no extractor fan and worse the deal to shower screen leaked so the floor of the bathroom was like a swimming pool - permanently as the room was only made up once during the whole stay. I had to buy toiletries as they were not replenished and the towels only replenished once. The floor towel because of the shower leak was soaked after the shower and remained soaked the whole stay. And now for a crazy gripe and I would really appreciate a response from the Manager. On checking on and for the first day there were complimentary mints in a bowl at the reception desk. By the second day they had been removed and when asked the staff member on the desk replied they had been removed as there were a lot of children staying at the hotel! Really? A lot of the group and myself included gave up eating at the buffet in the evening. The first night the hotel buffet ran out of food. The last night we did ask beforehand what was in the buffet and were told there were 40 chicken skewers for a group of of over 50 and other dishes like pasta bakes. The hotel member replied there wouldn’t be enough chicken skewers for everyone ! Wagamana to the rescue…

Dear Paul, Many thanks for taking the time to leave valuable feedback regarding your recent stay with Bolton Stadium Hotel. I note you were part of the soccer tour group and apologise that you have had cause to raise several points regarding the standard of the Hotel. Bolton Stadium Hotel is currently undergoing some improvements, of which have started in the public areas and due to the size of our site, is a lengthy project. The Hotel is now over 20 years old so it will take time to correct all the maintenance required, but I can assure you that some of the points you have raised are part of the overall maintenance programme. The bedrooms are of varying sizes and types to suite all guests, depending on availability, I apologise that your room was not the particular size you required. If you had raised this with Reception, we could have looked at alternatives, subject to availability. With regards to guests eating take-away food, this is not something we allow in the Hotel public areas; however, guests do bring in their own food to consume in their rooms, which is not something we can control. I note your comments re. the bathroom, of which I apologise, if you had raised this with our Reception / Housekeeping team, a member of the team would have been more than happy to replenish your towels for you. I have also communicated your comments to our Housekeeping Manager regarding the comments you have made regarding the room. The complimentary mints issue has been communicated to the Front of House Manager; I can only apologise for this. Finally, regarding the buffet, I have investigated this with the Head Chef and there was enough food served for the number of guests attending, however, some people do take more of one choice than others, which can cause certain items to easily run out and leave several of the party without their preferred choice. I do hope that the experiences you had does not deter you from using our Hotel as we would love to have the pleasure to welcome you back in the future, especially once all the improvements have been made. Thank you once again for providing us with your feedback. With kind regards Bolton Stadium Hotel

If you are going to stay in Middlebrook, then don't bother with any other hotel. The pictures on the site don't do it justice. The entrance is spacious and clean, the stairs lead to a wonderful bar and dining area with numerous TV's to watch the match or news, but normally sports on Sky or BT. We were on the 1st floor with a view of the carpark but not an issue with traffic noise. The room is spacious and slightly larger than a Premier Inn room. The bathroom was spotless and the shower over the bath was powerful. The room was spotless, not a pinch of dust anywhere and room came with iron, ironing board and trouser press. The TV had numerous channels and the bed was firm with excellent pillows. For a change and rare to see, there were 4 pillows on this huge bed. It was two singles together but the individual beds were more 3/4 beds pushed together which made nearly a Queen size bed overall. There is food available in the main restaurant along with bar food such as pizza and smaller meals. The staff were extremely friendly and always ready to help with a smile. I have to say, for the money, this hotel is one of the best I have stayed for comfort, amenities and staff and cleanliness. I highly recommend staying here and may choose the pitch view in a package on match day or the suite on the top floor. (This room however doesn't have a pitch view, from what I understand). There is a late checkout, not available on match days, but checkout is 11am so plenty of time to chill and take your time waking up. We went on a Friday and breakfast on a Saturday is 7 to 10.30am, but recommend that you go 9.30 at the latest to make sure you get everything available. Will definitely use this hotel whenever we have a night out in Middlebrook again.

Room was very small for 3 people, bed for 11 year old was horrendous. Rooms not serviced at all and towels not replaced. Tried to phone reception 3 times and got no reply. There were no mugs available for coffee at breakfast, we were offered paper cups. Bar service was beyond slow and food had to be ordered at the bar, no-one to take order at your table. Service overall was very bad including reception. I would not recommend this hotel.
