We held a small family wedding/birthdays party here on 3 December. We cannot praise highly enough this hotel from beginning to end... both for the function and the accommodation. We met with Michelle earlier in the year and a couple of times more before the event. Everything we asked for, she arranged but also made really helpful suggestions. Lenka looked...

Stayed here last weekend for a wedding. It must have been one of their busiest weekends with hundreds of people attending various works parties on both nights plus the wedding. NOTHING was too much trouble for the staff........all were incredible. All arrangements for the wedding reception etc were exactly as booked. The room was arranged and decorated beautifully.....the food was...

Despite being a frequent guest (weekly 2 - 3 night stays) for over 12 months and loyalty being recognised accordingly, a paradigm shift of recognition has now occurred. No coincidence that the past 2 stays post complaining to manager Elizabeth of personal belongings going missing, I have received the ultimate snub to my continued patronage; downgrade to a single bed!...

Stayed here last weekend on Saturday night, to be fair when we checked in the receptionist did tell us that there was a wedding on so they'd allocated us a room on the first floor. Well I dread to think what a room on the ground floor would have been like because the first floor room we had was the...

First experience is the heater won't work. After the front desk sent maintanence staff they said it was a mystery and would bring a portable heater and provide a bill convienence. Next there was a large gap between the door and floor, even with a towel there you could still hear every door close and every hall conversation. The last...

We have used, without hesitation, the Holiday Inn chain before and it was our first time at the Basingstoke hotel. We were upgraded to an Executive Room - it was surprisingly very small was and the room and bathroom were very cold even though you had control of the heating system. The bathroom was a heated towel rail which we...

Dear Sue H, Thank you for your feedback and for staying with us. We realize you have many choices when it comes to lodging, and we sincerely appreciate your business with us. I am glad to read that the food served in the bar was at par. However, we regret if the room size, noise challenges, and the closed restaurant...

My wife and I use Holiday Inns and Holiday Inn Express hotels when we travel on business. We use points that we earn during the year through our timeshare arrangement with IHG. Whilst the hotels are basic, we have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Basingstoke is no exception. Nothing was too much trouble. The Executive room...

Very unimpressive holiday inn building which is very much lacking the normal standards of the brand. Rooms are small with tired bathrooms, so much noise from floors above and people walking around, felt like the walls were made out of paper. Awful night here. Very harassed and unhappy staff generally and breakfast and lunch was very disorganised with what appeared...

We stayed here due to a family event going on in Basingstoke. The hotel is fine, with spacious rooms, with a basic style, and with cooked breakfast included within the price. The hotel is similar to others within the same chain. You will need a car to get to this hotel. This can be positive, if you are travelling, or...

Thank you for your review. I am pleased the hotel met your expectations of the brand with the size of the room and the cooked breakfast. We are very disappointed to read the comments about the receptionist who checked you out. Especially as we mostly receive great feedback about the service - the staff being friendly and welcoming.
