I arrived early before normal check in time so appreciated the receptionist finding me an early check in the room. However before I shut the door behind me I could hear the traffic and sirens roaring past the windows, you could almost touch the road. Needless to say I asked for a change of room! I got an upgrade which...

We stayed here for one night, unfortunately we missed the dinner but that was our own fault but the hotel were very accommodating about it. We ordered room service which was lovely. The room was very plain in decoration and could do with updating but not hideous. There was a hair in the sink and a bottle cap had been...

We have visited this Hotel for three years running with good results,so we booked this year for the new year. Disappointment.! Last year we had free house wine all evening ,this yaer cost me £45 for 2 bottles. As usual ,we had a table with 8 strangers, and usually quickly made friends. This time however we had to shout at each...

I've stayed here a few times as it is convenient, my family are within a half a mile of the hotel. This trip was not good, booked through Booking.com as a superior double we were given a standard room. When I challenged the hotel they said booking.com call a standard a superior. I couldn't believe it and after showing the...

Really shocked by the terrible hygiene in the bathroom (see pictures) actually made me gag... hair everywhere and never been thoroughly cleaned by the looks of it. Also I don't understand how it can be 4 star with that breakfast?! It was awful. No vegetarian option all self serve buffet style with very few options. Filter coffee only. Really wish...

I was supposed to go to the Apollo hotel for my Christmas party but ended up in A&E with my husband. I finally arrived at the Apollo 3 hours late when the dancing had stayed, to find out that they had kept my starter chilled so I could still have it and they cooked my today turkey for me right...

We stayed at the Apollo for our Christmas party. The staff were all very polite and helpful. We had a double room which was small. The bed linen was creased and had a few marks, a little off putting. I had booked a massage. I went down and asked for a robe to put on afterwards and was told only...

Here for business for a few weeks and it wasn't great. It's a while away from Basingstoke centre so was a bit of a trek if you didn't want to pay for a taxi (if you were lucky to get one in the mornings!) Rooms were okay. Bottom floor was constantly freezing and had loads of spiders. Other floors seemed...

We stayed in this hotel for one night. It was a decent enough place but the bed was a standard double, I haven't seen standard doubles in a 4 star hotel for a while, they tend to be king size. Breakfast was reasonable but closed at 10 30 on a Sunday which is unusual. Not a bad 3 star place...
