When you get to the hotel you’ll find it’s right next to large car park. Pay at the machines or via RingGo. I paid £4 from 530pm and it expired the next day at 8:30am. Bargain! The car park was well lit and I felt safe walking to and from my car.

As everyone has mentioned, you'll get a warm welcome from Bobby. Bobby will give you a thorough induction into the hotel and leaves no check in stone unturned.

Try and book a time for dinner as it’s not the biggest restaurant and I suspect not a huge amount of kitchen staff. I ate at 6 (when the restaurant opens) and was back in my room by 7 full of food. One peculiarity of the hotel, and one I’ve not come across in the many PIs I’ve stayed in, is there isn’t a proper bar as such. You’ll have the choice of bottled drinks, nothing on tap so no choice of a cold pint or large drink. I was slightly disappointed that the only soft drinks came in 200ml bottles, far less than a single can. If you want on quench your thirst it could become expensive or your travelling with children. Dinner was the usual PI menu and breakfast was plentiful. No issues with any food order or wait times.

The bedroom was a smaller double room with a compact bathroom and a standalone shower. Again, not a set up I’ve seen in any other PIs but could be something to consider if you need to bathe small children. It worked fine for me, as being a shortie I didn’t have to struggle in and out of deep baths or be blasted by shower heads that can’t be lowered or altered.

Noise wise I barely heard anyone. The hotel was showing as full that night so I expected more guest noise coming and going to rooms but nothing. I was the end of a corridor right by the main door from the lift and wasn’t disturbed by anyone. The only thing that did keep me awake only slightly, was the heavy rain that was dripping off a window ledge and would plop super loudly on a metal ledge of some type. The only room disappointment was the window didn’t open at all, not even a crack. I always like some fresh air circulating in a bedroom but the windows are fully sealed.

I have stayed here on several occasions prior to my most recent stay in August 2020. The cost of the stay is always good, and it is never loud nearby or in the hotel.

It has been like a second home. The staff are always friendly. The rooms are always clean when we enter, and we always get the room layout regarding beds that was asked for at booking. It is very close to the town which is full of shops and eateries. I would definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed at the Basingstoke Town Centre Premier Inn on the 3rd & 4th June and were so impressed with the level of service and friendliness of the staff.

On arrival check in was smooth and faultless which was done by Crista, who told us that the room was clean and ready for us.

We proceeded to our room where we found it to be spacious, spotless and exactly what we have come to expect from a Premier Inn. We could tell that everything had been sanitized which was a great comfort especially in the current climate.

We decided to have an evening meal in the restaurant, again we must say that the staff was exceptional. Liam and Crista made us feel so special and important even with others in the restaurant. It was like we were their friends.
The food was perfectly cooked by Alam, I can't remember the last time I had a chicken breast that was to moist and tender.

The following morning we went for breakfast and was greeted by Elena who showed us to our table, she was so attentive making sure that we had everything we needed and again making us feel so special. Breakfast was cooked by Alam and Lidiane and WOW, it was amazing.
My wife only chose a few cooked items for breakfast and was surprised when she was given a plate full of the things she had asked for not the measly amounts which get lost on the plate other hotels provide.
We were so impressed by Elena (Manager) her attention to detail and leading by example. Every time she walked into the restaurant she sanitized her hands, the way she spoke to her staff, her overall friendliness to everyone who stayed
All these little things add up to make a massive difference.

When we checked out Elena came to say goodbye and gave us the hotels number so we could call and request a room with a wet room as my wife uses a wheelchair once we have booked a room via the website

We have stayed in a lot of hotels for business and leisure. This is by far the best hotel we have ever stay at, great location and the Amazing staf.f.

We used this very central location for our weekend stay and were pleasantly surprised by the excellent politeness of the staff and quality of this Premier Inn. Check in was easy and room was a good size which we found clean and welcoming.
We did use the bar and relaxation area for a small meal as we did not arrive till mid evening.
The staff had really good customer care skills and were very keen to ensure our stay was a pleasant one.
We did not have the breakfasts on offer but what we saw looked very good.
We would both use this Premier Inn again.

The rooms are as advertised, comfortable bed, pillows, crisp bedding. AC a welcome addition and a very well stocked tea tray. No bathroom amenities except for hand washing soap, as you would expect, and a hairdryer, iron and ironing board! Very good shower pressure and no curtain!

The staff go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need - they couldn’t do enough for you. The cooked buffet breakfast is the BEST you’ll ever find -all you can eat at such a reasonable price. The morning we were there they had 140 covers! The staff were calm under pressure and made sure everyone were served promptly. The chef Sky was amazing and even cooked fried eggs for us as they had finished…we were very impressed at how spotless her kitchen was. The breakfast manager and her staff member were amazing - there was only two of them and they looked after everyone with a smile. You hardly knew you were in a premier inn!

Excellent value for money!

We found this inn due to its price and location in relation to visiting the Bombay sapphire facility.
We arrived on Friday after our visit and we’re looked after by the staff who very attentive.
After we checked in we went out for a Chinese and that was pleasant
We got up for breakfast and it was a very enjoyable buffet , with everything you could have wanted on your plate from fried eggs to black pudding and all sorts in between.
Unfortunately the first nights sleep was not very good and subsequently we spoke to the manger who could not of been more helpful.
She refunded our nights cost, had the mattress sorted and did it all within minutes , she was all about keeping the customer happy.
We then out for the day and when we returned for the night the bed was wonderful and we had a most pleasurable sleep.
Breakfast was another filling affair before departing home.
It was a great inn with very attentive staff and an understanding manager, well worth using if staying in Basingstoke

The accomodation and front of house staff service was exceedingly good. The breakfast in the morning was superb eat as much as you wanted. However the Dinner was a bit of a disaster the food was okay but the waiting time to recieve it was terrible and it was not because the place was busy only 3 people apart from us were in the restaurant.
The car parking is also bad only about 8 spaceside the hotel. You have to go into a pay and display and pay £10 to park up to 8am in the morning and then go out again and put on another £2 so that you can east your breakfast.

Great location. Check-in was a little frantic as it was quite busy and only 2 staff running the show. Room was a very typical Premier, excellent bed, very clean etc. However, it had been booked as a double room but serviced as a single so we had to request extra tea/coffee and towels.

The main problem was later in the bar/restaurant I don't think one member of staff should be left with that amount of work. It was extremely busy which must be good for business but it could have been so much better!! One young lad was trying to serve drinks and food, take orders and payments and deal with complaints about slow service.

Customers were very understanding but, quite rightly, annoyed at the wait. I would imagine a Friday night in Basingstoke is as busy as a Friday night anywhere and so, I feel Premier should have considered this when planning staffing

As always with premier inns, the room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Due to covid breakfast is served to you instead of 'buffet' style but still 'unlimited' The waiter/waitress were always there if you wanted anything else- a lot of extra work for them so well done to you all. Also your room wont be cleaned daily now but if you ask they will still do it for you. The hotel is in close/walking distance to the town and yet quiet enough to get 'a good night's sleep'. Stayed for 4 nights. Thank you to all the wonderful staff.

We stayed here for a wedding in Basingstoke.
From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out it was amazing.
We were checked in by Claire in reception. What an amazing lady she was. It felt like she had known us for ages and was very welcoming and .professional.
The room was spotless and everything was perfect. Hot water in the bathroom which was spotlessly clean and the shower head was in mint condition.
We didn't eat there in the restaurant purley because we were attending a wedding that night however we definitely wanted breakfast in the morning.
Claire was on reception again and immediately recognised us and asked if we had a good sleep.
We were welcomed into the restaurant by Stephanie which has one of those infections smiles. Breakfast was well cooked and piping hot, well done to the lady breakfast chef.
In all we had a very good and positive experience.
Well done team Basingstoke town centre 👍

There are accessible rooms on the ground floor, 1 has a lowered bath the other has a wet room. The beds are low level but they dont supply bed rails.

Sorry I didn’t reply sooner. Got to admit parking was a bit of a pain. Don’t know why the council can’t organise some dedicated parking for the hotel. There is a good sized public car park right next to the Premier Inn. However when I went to try and pay the machines weren’t working so I had to fiddle about downloading the relevant app and pay for overnight parking. That was a pain too as it expired at 08:00 and you weren’t allowed a return within 2hours. Luckily a space became available in the very limited free parking at the front of the hotel so I moved my car there. However, after a late night this was the last thing I wanted to faff about with at 8am. Everything else about the Premier Inn was just fine though. Couldn’t fault it.
