I came here on a two day choose with my work.
Most staff were very friendly and helpful.
The food overall was good, although we did have to wait over 40 minutes for our group dinner even though we had pre-booked it for 7pm. Then we had to remind them we had also pre-booked the puddings as we were sat around waiting for them.

My room was ok. First floor overlooking the front of the hotel so I could see my car which was nice.
Massive TV, decent shower, although they really need to get rid of shower curtains.
The room doors are a big negative. As people are coming and going at all hours you really need doors that don't slam and wake up everyone else in the hotel, like I was at 4am.
The pillows weren't great, I used 3 and still had a stiff neck in the morning.

I know the hotel has only recently been taken over and they are going through a period of refurbishment.
The initial areas as you walk in you can tell have been redone and they look great.
The bar was quite pricey at £5 a cider.

They also weren't told of my dietary requirements, however when bought up the fact I couldn't eat anything in the lunch menu they reacted quickly and got me something else, that was excellent service.

Overall I'd be happy if I was sent there again on another work course.

Stayed here overnight on a business trip in early September. Whilst the reception, dining area and bar looked like they'd had a refurb and were great, the bedrooms were lacking in all kinds of ways. After asking to be moved from our first allocated room because it stank of cigarette smoke, we were assigned another very swiftly (thank you) but both rooms were visually extremely tired-looking and the bathrooms had tile staining, badly-applied grout and looked like they were barely being maintained. The bed felt old and worn when you laid on it and the mattress creaked and squeaked every time you turned over, so myself and my wife didn't get a good night's sleep at all, which didn't stand us in good stead for our meeting the next day.

On the plus side, the foyer was great and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating, both on check-in and at breakfast. If only the same attention to detail was spent on the rooms as it has been downstairs, this hotel would be great, but I'd seriously consider a Travelodge over the Delta on my next trip if nothing changes.

Dear Eddie Thank you for taking the time to leave a review we are currently in the process of a staged refurbishment and I appreciate some of the bedrooms are not as opulent as the public areas. I am however pleased to hear that the new elements of the business were pleasurable and the team were really receptive in what is difficult times for our industry Many thanks Paul Broster GM

Hotel is in quiet location on the outskirts of town. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Staff are friendly and seem to work very hard.

Sadly the rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment and after a month of staying here for two nights per week I need a break.

The beds are very creaky and if you move I the night will wake you up, with incredibly hard mattresses and paper thin duvets. They have a very old storage heater you can switch on and some have a fan in the wardrobe.

Some rooms have a fridge, some don’t, no standardised approach to this and if you do have one, they have seen better days. Bathrooms are dated but spotlessly clean, decent water pressure and plenty of clean towels.

They do offer room service, but you can only find the menu on the TV, can’t order via TV and reception seem to struggle with understanding what you are actually requesting. Would be much easier to actually put a hard copy menu in each room & have orders taken but Bar or Restaurant rather than reception.

If you manage to order good, it’s okay, nothing special and is clearly “easy prep” for the kitchen. It won’t be winning any awards for gastronomical excellence any time soon and I do wonder the thought process for microwaving a burger when you’re charging nearly £20 for it. Also every order I have received has had something missing, usually a condiment or part of the meal!

They offer online checkin & digital keys but you still have you stop at reception to checkin manually & get a physical key so it makes the whole online checkin process a totally pointless exercise.

The hotel also seems to resemble a college campus in the evening as it seems like local companies have their apprentices staying in in this hotel. This brings lots of noise, rowdiness and slamming of bedroom doors. Also you have to walk through a haze of vape smoke past a hoard of youths to enter the hotel after 6pm.

Over all it’s okay for a night, but I’ve reached the point after spending 8 nights there in the past 4 weeks I want to stay somewhere else with less creaky beds, warmer rooms & less youths loitering at the entrance.

Dear tjones73, I would like to start by apologising to you for not meeting your expectations. We take all feedback onboard both positive and negative to further improve the guest experience we offer. as you may have notice through your stays with us there are significant differences in the styling from our lobby and bar area to the bedrooms. Please note the bedrooms were due refurbishment following the public areas, due to the impact of the Covid -19 pandemic this was put on hold. The works are due to resume this year, moving through the bedrooms and includes new beds, mattresses and an update in styling. Whilst this does not alter the experience that you had during your stays, please rest assured that we are working to rectify this issue. Secondly, I am sorry to hear your experience with the Room service and food was negative. We are forever adapting and working on the menu and service included so all feedback received is passed on to create the best offerings and service possible. In regards to the online check in, the stop by reception is to complete the check in process that can't be completed online. the online check in should minimise the check in time on arrival. In addition to this with entrance I will be advising the team to monitor the entrance to help ensure the correct smoking areas are being used.

This hotel used to be the Hilton but now under new management and called Delta Hotel in Milton Keynes by Marriott, Timbold Drive, Kents Hill Park, Milton Keynes MK7 6HL

I was very impressed with the colour and the style as soon I entered the lobby, therefore, I thought would reflect the same stye in the rooms but I was so wrong and here's why:

Room 34 was an acceptable size, but the chairs were in a very bad state, on one of them the fabric was worn and looked very dirty, on another the fabric was filthy and smelled of mould.

The television would be better if it’s been set on a wall with brackets. The curtains looked very old and the net curtain did not fit all the window. The kettle was clogged with limescale and had seen better days.

The bathroom definitely needed upgrading as everything looks so old and bed was too low, squeaky and uncomfortable plus the pillows had no support.

The room had not been adequately cleaned beforehand either as we found two spiders. Then next day no housekeeping came so I had to chase it from the reception even though I had gone out for a while. They responded quickly but that should have been done earlier in the day.

Breakfast on the first morning was fine but on the second morning, the quality of the omelette was awful. it appeared to have been pre-cooked and then heated up in the microwave.

This hotel is excellent for the price - similar hotels are of noticeably lower quality compared to this one. I stayed at this hotel for a week during a visit for business. Room was excellent as well as the restaurant below. Friendly staff at the bar (Luke) and people are always willing to have a chat and socialise which added to the overall experience. Would recommend this hotel for people visiting Milton Keynes as the location within the city is great.

From the very beginning of our stay we were greeted by the lovely team on reception who made us feel so welcome. The lobby area is fantastic and modernised, wow factor when you walk straight in! We stayed in a king room that was spacious and very clean! The rooms could do with a spruce up to match up to the lobby but regardless the room met all our requirements and we had no complaints. I was very impressed with the tv in the room! Staff even made suggestions on where to spend our evening in the local area after dinner, we had such a great weekend. This Hotel is now a Marriott Delta and used to be a Hilton but has dramatically improved since then. New management have improved service and standards through out. Food was amazing, the staff were warm, welcoming and efficient which meant we had a really enjoyable weekend away. We will definitely be making this hotel one of our top to visit for a short break away. Can’t wait to go back! Thank you to all the team who went above and beyond.

We stayed for 4 nights whilst attending a convention at the nearby MK Dons stadium. From check-in to check-out we had excellent service from the hard working team, We especially enjoyed the wonderful breakfast, such a great selection of fresh fruit. Our comfortable 2nd floor room was very quiet with everything we could possibly want and serviced every day. We ate in the restaurant 3 nights and enjoyed the well cooked meals served with a smile every time. We shall definitely stay again next time we are in Milton Keynes.

The hotel has a lot of good points. The staff are excellent assisting with minor problems as quick as possible.
The gym is the best I have visited in a hotel it really is excellent having a good range of machines, weights and even a boxing bag.
The breakfast is first class with good quality food and an excellent variety including hot and cold choices even smoked salmon.
The reception area of the hotel looks new and is certainly attractive to spend time in during the evening.
Unfortunately the hotel is let down by the rooms that are really quite faded and not at all attractive. The paint work on the corridor needs a good lick of paint and general maintenance needs to be improved , such as doors and windows not closing properly and letting outside noise in.
Free parking is a bonus but just the rooms need a serious upgrade as in other Delta Marriott hotels.

Dear R5309LDsaraj, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry that you were disappointed with your room. As you will have noticed, our lobby, bar and restaurant areas are significantly more modern than our bedrooms. This is due to the refurbishment that took place at the end of 2019. Please note that the hotel bedrooms were due to be refurbished in the April of 2020 following the public area refurb. Due to the Covid - 19 pandemic, this was put on hold. We opened the hotel post Covid in the April of 2022, therefore, had to begin the project from the beginning. We have since had 3 sample bedrooms completed which has kick started the process of the refurbishment and we start the refurbishment of the remaining 135 bedrooms in the next couple of months. The refurbishment includes complete change of furniture including the bathrooms and brand new beds and mattresses. I'm very glad to see that you did otherwise enjoy your experience at the hotel, and that you enjoyed breakfast and the gym. Thank you for your kind comments about the staff, this is very much appreciated. Kind Regards,

Firstly i want to say the staff, room and overall feel of the hotel was brilliant. Having said that I have put average for 3 reasons. 1) although 2 people were in our room only 2 teabags, sugars and milks were left each morning so I needed to request more each evening. 2) I realise the evening menu was limited which was a shame but the first night I had the burger which was burnt [ the waitress was so kind she took it back and brought me a new one. The 3rd night I ordered the club sandwich was I sorry the bacon was burnt and the chicken was really dry and hard to eat. I wish I could say Sunday evening was better but no I ordered a breakfast sandwich and was served a breakfast roll. I hate complaining so I didn't say anything but in writing this I want to be honest. The 3rd reason for the average score was the amount of cobwebs as a cleaning manager I'm afraid I tend to notice things like that.
Again I will say that all of the staff were so very kind and helpful hence the score is average

Hello. I can confirm that our Restaurant is open every morning for the breakfast buffet, and we have all day dining in our Bar and Lounge area. However, should you prefer to eat at a table in our 'quiet zone', please mention this to a member of the team when you check in, and this can be arranged.

Hilton Hotels made the decision to close the pool in June 2016, however this has been replaced with a brand new state of the art 24 hour gym, which our regular guests are enjoying. Notifications were put out on all Hilton websites at the time of closure, and third party booking sites were informed.
