I booked accommodation for a week (had a key worker training course in the area) and was drawn to the hotel by the online reviews, locality and price.

The staff are very helpful and sorted out an issue with the initial room I was booked into - moving me into another one. The standard of the rooms however is not quite what I would have expected and show their age - the hotel is in need of a makeover and refurbishment to be honest.

Due to COVID restrictions, meals are delivered to your room at the moment.

Breakfast was great. Dinner was ... ok. Quality was OK but not outstanding.

Would I stay here again? Most likely based on its locality to where I will be undertaking further training courses. However it is not the best value for money compared to some of the big chains.

Decided to get away for a weekend without the kids so booked tickets to go and have a look around Bletchley park. Booked a night at this hotel through booking.com as its only a mile or so from Bletchley park. On arrival I was shocked to see its on a housing estate just off a main road as pics on the website do not give this impression. The hotel itself was basic, clean and good value for money so have no issues with any areas of this. The reception staff were extremely polite and advised of check out and breakfast times etc as well as the bar and its facilities for mealtimes so was impressed with all the info. We stayed on the ground floor which is directly opposite a very large nightclub which was horrendously noisy from 11pm until around 4am we were disturbed all through the night by other guests in the next room as walls are paper thin and we could hear their conversation over our tv, these guests must have returned from the club and were still very noisy and disrurbing until around 6am.
The bar and restaurant area is clean however is more a restaurant feel as its all tables laid out for meals and no area to sit and enjoy drinks only apart from if you were to perch at the bar on a stool. I left after feeling uncomfortable due to a couple of male guests mimicking a trans lady who came in alone to enjoy a glass of wine I assume before heading over the road to the nightclub which is a gay, trans etc club ( not that it makes a differnce ) I felt so sorry for this poor lady and had to leave because I was so embarrassed. The view from the bar windows and french doors looks out onto a residents garden as they fence has been destroyed between the two areas. Not something I expected to sit looking at whilst having a drink in a hotel 🙃 All in all a cheap night with a good standard of facilities for the price however be warned its very noisy and lively at the weekend and if its sleep your hoping to get then I would advise you ask for a room on a higher level and maybe at the back of the hotel.😀

A hotel frequented by construction/ road workers. Good for a convenient and cheap stay close to city. Plenty of parking. Clean and basic - but with kettle and powerful shower. Beds a bit hard for us and walls quite thin, heard the 5am alarm of nieghbours! Earplugs recommended although the actual location is quiet.

• No reception staff upon afternoon arrival. Infact only saw 2 staff in the whole hotel.
• fusty smell
• only one pillow each and my pillow case was dirty
• Tv in room broken
• BREAKFAST was a joke. Soggy cold toast. Cold breakfast with child size portions. Vile coffee in a takeaway cup from the lobby machine. No teabags. Warm carton of orange dumped on the table. Poor service, one woman doing everything.
• Didn’t know hotel was across the road from a nightclub. Noisy til daylight eg 6am.
• mattress like sleeping on the floor. Back ache was excruciating the next day
• no reception staff on checkout. Just leave key card in a dish
•paid nearly £110 for one night and would’ve had a better nights sleep in our car!!!

I feared the worst having booked for 3 nights on a business trip and then read the reviews for the hotel. I have been pleasantly surprised by my stay. The price was good, the hotel staff really friendly, the location excellent and the rooms comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was of a good quality and a number of really nice pubs and takeaways are within a short walk. I generally stay at Premier Inns, but would return to The Campanile on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday night due to the cheap room rate. The negatives were the quality of the Wi-Fi, tv and towels.

We booked this hotel to pass the night during the uk heatwave. We checked in and just drop our bags and went out and on coming back to our room we realise there is not air condition, so we requested for at least a fan in the room in which my partner has a medical condition regarding her breathing, the receptionist told us there was no fan and i was like what do you mean, but she replied and said she see what she can do, but after about half and our we called again and the answer was we cant help that the hotel was built sometime 1938 or whatever. I explained my partners condition, but she does not even care. I called again after an our asking what can be done that we need a fan ASAP, but she said they have given out all the fan, but i can see two fans at the reception where she was. Now my concern is how can you have an hotel that does not have air conditioning and you can’t provide fans in the rooms and the weather was like 32 degree. This is not a good reason saying the hotel was built in 19 century, on there web site says full air conditioning, but imagine the receptionist telling me that there is air con in the reception area if we want to come there. The bed was something else that cant be slept on overnight. In a short story we could not sleep all not and had to check out early morning.

The room was adequate, decor dated and in need of a freshen up. There was a brown stain on the sheet and an empty cider can under the bed so could have been cleaner. The sink in the bathroom is ridiculously small, you can’t wash your face without hitting the tap and had to fill the kettle from the bath as you couldn’t get it in the sink to get water in it. Don’t have breakfast in the hotel, there is a garden centre a couple of minutes walk where you can get a good breakfast for half the price they charge. The reason we booked was because it was close to the MK Dons stadium where we were attending a concert, the booking had been rescheduled twice because of Covid and the price we had to pay was eventually three times the normal booking rate, it definitely wasn’t value for money I could probably have got a taxi from Manchester and back for less!
Wouldn’t stay here again

Booked a 1 night stay for the marathon and arrived after a 3hr drive, the hotel was scruffy and dated, the TV didn’t work, neither did the sink which we didn’t mind as we just needed somewhere to sleep. If you want to sleep do not come here, there is a glass cabinet in the reception with a large assortment of condoms for sale, this may give an idea of the reasons for bookings?? Doors slammed constantly all night! I mean all night, barely 5 minutes passed without doors slamming and at 4am gave up trying to sleep and listened to a podcast. My partner who was running the marathon the next day really did need to sleep, we couldn’t understand the reason for all the noise, apparently only 2 guests are allowed per room and all the clubs are still shut? 3 of us travelled down for the event and paid £115 for 2 rooms and no sleep. The hotel describes itself as picturesque and relaxing it was definitely neither! I did raise this with the receptionist on checkout and asked if she had an explanation for the noise and was told around 20 bookings were for “drinking rooms” ?? As the nightclub opposite was due to open but hadn’t due to restrictions so people had just booked to drink in the rooms? If this was described in anyway as a party hotel we wouldn’t of booked, we would of been happy with cheap and cheerful, but got noisy and dismal. Not acceptable!! Was given an email address for the manager, but I’m not hopeful of a reply

Having visited many Campaniles over decades, I was so disappointed with Campanile Milton Keynes. We could barely get to reception to check in for drunk women sitting on tables and shouting. Our rooms had been abused by previous clients despite walls and bathroom being recently decorated. We had no towels but were quickly brought some. One of our rooms had lots of flies and daddy long legs as the windows had been left open, the other had stains all over the walls, carpets and desk top. The bath had long black hairs in it belonging to someone else. Half a toilet roll provided maybe not enough. We barely had any sleep as people were making lots of noise with loud music playing and doors slamming, getting ready to go clubbing and having room parties. A young woman wearing only a short jacket walked passed us in the corridor. During the night fights and arguments were plentiful with security attending one of the situations. The poor security man was getting all sorts of abuse. Staff were all very friendly and helpful but had a difficult job with the clientele. The breakfast was delicious. Should be a good location but with clubs nearby, it attracts clubbers.

1st room given was a disgrace, dirty soiled underwear left in bathroom so it was obvious the cleaners hadn't done their job. 2nd room given wasn't much better. Booked a 2 night stay to visit family nearby with my 11year old, parents and my heavily pregnant sister. Room given was directly opposite the Pink Punters club which was raving till 6.30, doors slamming all night constantly, revellers from club singing on the landings constantly. Stinks of weed all throughout. All in all we managed about 5hrs sleep in 48hrs so needless to say im fuming!!!

This is a situation I have come across before at the Campanile Northampton. The car parking is not controlled by the Hotel (which all are a franchise) it is by a separate parking company who charge for parking on private land. I suggest if you have any proof of attending like a receipt or copy of the bill of the person who stayed that you contract the parking fine organisation as soon as possible. They can get you details from DVLA from car reg based on "reasonable cause". I can understand the mind is not focused on parking rules after a funeral, however there are plenty of signs at MK campanile.
