Arranged a very last minute Christmas party with friends. The Cock Hotel were able to accommodate us. It was the perfect evening. Food and service was excellent and the disco was exactly our kind of entertainment and didnt break the bank.

Sunday Roast with family. Roast Beef £10.49. I'm happy with the price however the Yorkshire pudding was more like a pancake, flat as and not properly cooked. Veg very al dente and braised red cabbage far too sweet. Roast potatoes were over cooked, tiny and no crunch while the mash was dry and lumpy!!! There was a wedding happening so... More

Rooms are terrible and everything needs replacing don't bank on having a good nights sleep, Shower doesn't work properly either. But the food is very nice. Shame really as it could be a nice place to stay.

I cannot begin to say thankyou enough for the amazing job this hotel did for a wedding on Saturday November 5th. From start to finish these guys made our day go without a hitch. The food was served quickly and was hot and tasty. The staff were at our beck and call all day. We will forever remember this great... More

We visited Stony for the Zombie Pub Crawl 2016. I chose this location because it was central and I am not familiar with area. I had already researched parking and found the car park around the back of the site with ease. We were greeted by a nice male member of staff who immediately told us no food would be... More

We held my mothers Wake at the Cock Hotel on friday afternoon in the restaurant area. Everything was very well organised and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were a bit worried as there was a wedding on at the same time but it did not cause any problems at all. Would recommend.

Visited by chance last Sunday 23rd October, family of 4 adults and 3 children (dining at original intented place in another town was full). Enjoyed good Sunday Roast at very reasonable price, followed by ice creams for the children. Recommended for such meals.

We stayed 2 nights for a wedding. Had a lovely time at the wedding but that was mainly due to the bridesmaid organisation. Had some difficulty with booking and payment and was charged twice which eventually was sorted. Someone had charged drinks to our room which were not us, the hotel didn't end up charging as there's no proof. But... More

Wonderful place for a reception, booked this place due to being local to home and with a bit of history thrown in. Fantastic value for money with the complimentary bridal suite thrown in. All Staff were friendly and enthusiastic and helped the evening work well and to plan. The venue is ideal for seating 50 people plus a few more.... More

On Saturday we took brother in law and his wife for a meal at the cock. We had booked a table but on arrival there was chaos and no record of the booking. The lady in charge was obvious under pressure due to shortage of staff. She was however helpful and pleasant whist working extremely hard to keep things moving.... More
