The room I stayed in was adequate for my needs. It was a bit tired looking and dated but nothing too horrendous (given how hotels are struggling after the lockdowns I’m sure redecorating is a low priority right now which is fair enough) It was clean. The bed was comfy with plenty of pillows and warm. There was hand wash and body wash on the walls for use but nothing else provided. I forgot my toothpaste and on my journey to the hotel I thought there’d be a miniature provided by the hotel but there wasn’t so I had to brush my teeth with the mouthwash I’d brought with me. I probably could have asked for help from the front desk but it was very late by the time I realised this. Tea and coffee making facilities we provided but only enough for one mug, again I’m sure more would have been provided had I asked. The breakfast in the morning was generous and well cooked and there was plenty of toast, pastries, cereal etc (all the usual items) available. I had a nice evening meal in the pub attached too and it was reasonably priced. The receptionist on the front desk provided a warm welcome and gave me all the info I needed at the time. All in all it was a pleasant stay for the price. I only stayed one night but would have been comfortable enough staying longer.

Hello Jaxx5775, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us this feedback. A member of staff would of been more than happy to help by providing you with toothpaste and extra tea and coffee. We are glad you enjoyed the breakfast in the morning, nothing better than starting the day with a cooked breakfast or a wide range options on our continental. We do hope you will stay with us again in the future. Have a great day!

This was our second visit to this hotel and we will definitely be returning for a third !
All the staff are very friendly , we were welcomed by Zak at reception who was very welcoming . We ate in the restaurant every night during our 3 night stay and the service and food were good, plus it was very good value for money. Sonia who took our food orders behind the bar was very efficient and extremely hard working. I don't know how she keeps going. Having said that, all of the waiters and waitresses and bar staff worked very hard. The two ladies who worked on reception Emma and a Scottish lady ( I don't know her name ) were very friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was very tasty and Paula the waitress who served us breakfast was really lovely. Paula , who was a cleaner and a waitress was also very nice and friendly. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. We were given more coffee and tea when we asked for them for our room. The location was perfect for Bletchley Park and the National Trust properties that we wanted to visit. Looking forward to returning next year ! Ten out of ten !

Nobody to check you in even after using the buzzer to call someone, ended up going to the Pub part and asking. The room although a little dated, was clean and well presented, bath with shower over, nice big wardrobe, hairdryer, ironing board etc. so no issue with room, breakfast the following morning was again very well presented and a nice warm welcome when we walked in the breakfast area.
Pub on day of arrival
Total shambles, just “kids” serving with no customer pleasantries and even rude at times, I found the toilets in a mess, reported and then had a very sarcastic “there’s nothing wrong with them” thrown at me when they checked, but in fact they had tidied up the mess that was all over the floor and flushed what ever someone had left down the loo.
The staff kept changing which area of the bar could serve drinks which is just silly and confusing, the tables were not cleaned and the whole area just looked a mess, very poor show for Hungry Horse and needs looking at, I am not ageist but when all the staff are so young and nobody of a quailed age is there to train them it what just happens, there was even one of the bar staff from my opinion off his face !! stumbling around and struggling to serve, defiantly in no fit state to work !!

Hotel is a stretch. Pub with Accommodation perhaps?? Very dated hotel. Bathroom looks like something your parents ripped out for a new one 30 years ago. Rooms basic, mostly clean but perhaps clear the dead spiders from light fixtures. I went to use the kettle in the room but found the mugs hadn’t been cleaned and were full of lip marks and finger prints but yea the room displays stickers about being cleaned and sanitized. Room was freezing, I would of put the heater on but it was electric and behind the curtain. Bed was rock solid and the pillow were lumpy.

However good points were an excellent hot shower, the bed linens felt very soft and seemed good quality. The service at breakfast was so friendly and it was lively to see the table was cleaned before you sat down. Paula was so friendly and got my name from the booking and checked on any dietary requirements before taking my order. And I got the food the way I wanted and served hot and fresh.

If you want Cheap accommodation with a pub attached stay here. You can roll to bed and fall asleep. If you want a luxury stay with fine di i g attached please go elsewhere.

We stayed here for the Reggae Land festival and knew that we didn’t need luxury however a mouldless bathroom would have been nice!! The ladies on reception and those cleaning were 5 star, we could not fault them, all were helpful and friendly from arrival and when we asked if there was another room that we could have they went above and beyond to show us one, it was no different to what we already had so we decided to stay put however the ladies made sure that we had everything they could provide to make it as comfortable as it could be. We actually felt sorry for them as they clearly take pride in their work and do their absolute best with what they’ve got to work with, it’s not their fault that the bathroom is dated and mouldy and needs replacing. We understand that this is expensive but surely even a cheap rust free bin and toilet seat could be provided!! The shower was good and powerful but due to the mould etc I didn’t feel clean!! The bed was clearly years old and not comfortable however the bed linen was clean and fresh. The hotel was very noisy for most of the night due to banging doors so despite wearing earplugs I didn’t get a lot of sleep!! It was also very hot. We ate in the bar both days and again staff were five star and the food was very good…..the baileys coffee was amazing!! If the bathrooms and beds were better then this would be a great hotel and that’s thanks to the amazing staff…a big thank you to them.

We stay here as often as we can. Kirsty and Mark are fantastic hosts and really go above and beyond. Clean comfy rooms and excellent food and service in the pub/restaurant attached. Always get a great nights sleep and stayed during the heatwave and was supplied with a fan to keep the room cool. Can’t recommend enough

We have stayed at the Broughton Hotel and Pub several times with our four children and always have a wonderful trip. Mark and Kirsty go above and beyond to accommodate their guests, ensuring they are comfortable in their rooms and well-fed. The rooms are spacious and spotless and the menu has something for everyone to enjoy. The atmosphere is welcoming to all guests, young and old. Everyone is ensured to share loads of laughs and have a wonderful time. We highly recommend the Broughton Hotel and Pub and look forward to our next visit!

I booked this hotel as was in Milton Keynes for 4 days of training. It was the cheapest in the area and was nervous as it is attached to a hungry hours pub on a residential estate (I packed ear plugs just I case). I have been so pleasantly surprised! Yes the rooms are dated but they are SO clean and most importantly to me the staff are just GORGEOUS. This has been EXCELLENT value for money. Breakfast included and staff who are so friendly and helpful. It feels as though they enjoy where they work and customer service is priority. Thank you for a great stay. Please look after your staff and let them know their efforts do not go unnoticed.
