Having been to a couple of Jurys in other Cities, we expected something a little more than basic. Before arriving, we called re parking. On speaking to the male he stated that he could not tell us about parking as he was not based in the hotel. Useful!
We stayed in an executive room for a special occasion but were disappointed to find that the extra price paid was pretty pointless. Rips in headrest, cold shower, tiny TV, worn-out furniture. The FOH staff we're just okay however lacking in communication. We found the cleaners generally to be far more friendly and helpful. The one positive was the breakfast! Not one to review much unless its a disappointment or an absolute treat... You can guess which one this was!

My husband and I stayed for the night on Sunday 30th August. Great value for money and great location. We stayed in an executive super king room on the 8th floor. Very comfy bed and extremely clean. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. We ate at Middleton’s Steakhouse (would recommend!) along with some drinks in Wetherspoons. Parking was easy, £5.50 for 24 hours in the standard bays across from the hotel. Whilst the area gets very busy at night, with the windows closed and on the higher floors ensures you don’t hear anything. Will definitely be visiting again in the near future and would really recommend this hotel. We got a deal which meant we only paid around £15 more than a premier inn and it was so worth it.

Yes it is a corporate hotel, but it is very clean and comfortable with excellent staff.
The room was well equipped for my stay and quiet too
A light breakfast was left at the room each morning with an option for cooked items in the restaurant.
Well located between the station and the 'centre' of Milton Keynes with an easy level walk of 12 mins.
The question is...would I stay again? yes I would without thought.

Stayed here as a group of four who booked two separate rooms. Around christmas time they really do make an effort with a big tree and lights in reception which really is beautiful. Staff are so friendly upfront and so easy to talk to, the little shop type bit at the front was so useful and very fairly priced. Once upstairs to our rooms we were suprised how nice they were since its only an extra 10/20 pounds more then a travel lodge the place really does feel a million miles away from those kind of hotels and very similar priced. We will 100% be back more often , definitely our new place to stay when in area x

Check-in was poor, it took over 30mins to checkin, the receptionist did not know the checkout times for the room that we had booked, which was booked through an agent. She kept telling me that my company had a different policy.
It was not a company booking!

The room I got had no heating and was freezing cold. We moved to another room that looked just as run down.
Marks on the carpets, chipped paint and just general wear and tare.

Breakfast as poor, included in my stay.
The bacon and sausages were like bullets, the eggs like they were made out of rubber.

We put the do not disturb sign on the door and maintenance came in banging saying that they wanted to oil the windows and look annoyed at me when I said they couldn't (I had only just got out of the bath with a towel around me)!

We were quite surprised at the high quality of accommodation and service as the cost was very good value. Only drawback was a lack of bright colours as everywhere is darkish grey and one likes to feel a bit cheerful when away from home. Some bright scatter cushions for instance. Accessible room was good, and near the lift.

I am now on my third stay at the Jury's Inn MK and I must say I have been impressed with the service and rooms so far. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are very well sized and appointed and the restaurant and bar is a nice place to be of an evening.

The Hotel is located next to the hub which has a great collection of restaurants and is not far from the centre:MK if you fancy doing a bit of shopping. My office is at the Milton Keynes Central station which is only a 10 minute walk away so it is very convenient. However, if you are driving, parking outside is free between 6pm and 7am.

Breakfast is a combination of a generous grab bag (that is surprisingly filling and healthy at the same time!) plus a hot breakfast bap collected from the front desk. This is one of the COVID-19 adjustments but the hotel has handled it well.

One thing to note is that there is no gym here, but you can get a day pass at the Bannatynes Health Club which is not too dear if you are that way inclined.

If you are staying for business and will be a frequent visitor, ask the team about corporate rates as there are good deals to be had. Pro tip: you can get a 10% discount on regular bookings by creating an account on their website.

All in all, The Jury's Inn is a very good hotel located right in the heart of MK and I will definitely be back again.

The hotel is a low standard for the price you pay, and so many better options. The rooms are dated, the standards have dropped. The Travelodge or Holiday Inn nearby are better quality and at a better room rate. Charge for cappuccino at breakfast £3.50, limit selection and options available.

Had gone for a Deluxe Room. Apparently this comes with a free daily coffee and complimentary minibar none of which we were told. Also, the rooms are not made-up every day, a fact which is buried in the small print of the email confirmation.

They give you a voucher for a daily coffee but the onsite Costa is not open in the morning which makes it a bit pointless. You are however allowed to use the voucher for a soft drink but I wasn't told any of this at check-in.

I also think that if you are not serving breakfast then there should be somewhere to get a coffee without having to order room service. Given there is a Costa it seems like a missed opportunity to generate income and provide a service.

Room itself was ok, but definitely tired. Duvet and sheets were old and tired and in the morning there was a large insect walking across my pillow. This stuff can happen I guess, but you don't really expect it in the UK climate.

I also think security is lacking. It is possible to walk into the hotel and to the lifts which are right in front of you without being seen and so this makes it a little unsafe. I think the lift should be key card operated and the entrance to the stairs as well.

Lastly, Reception had no idea about parking rules for electric cars and the signs were quite confusing. I would have thought questions about parking were quite common and staff will be relied upon to explain the rules.

Overall, it was ok and decent value for money. Staff were nice and the barman was great, but there are a few things that could and should be improved.

Wouldn't want to stay more than 2 or 3 nights and would be tempted to look at other hotels in the area to compare before rebooking.

Good Morning paulwH8729HG, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We apologize that you that you found the rooms not made-up everyday. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a restaurant breakfast service due to the impact of the pandemic on staffing, faced with supply chain issues which continues to present challenges for the hospitality industry. We are sorry that you were unhappy with the lacking security, this will be shared with the maintenance teams. We value your feedback about car parking, it is available opposite and behind the hotel. We understand this is disappointing for some of our guests but this is a temporary measure and we will be operating a full breakfast service by the middle of September, we hope that we can welcome you back to Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels in the near future. Kind Regards Wendy Customer Experience Team

The fire alarms rang at 3am on the night I was staying for a minute, going off shortly afterwards. Roughly 15 minutes later it went off again for a minute. I decided to go down and investigate as it went off twice but wasn’t ringing anymore, and as I was unable to contact the front desk or any member of staff -with other customers deciding not to go down as the fire alarm system was not ringing (including a family of four with two small kids at the end of my corridor). I walked down the fire escape 10 flights of stairs thinking there is no real risk as the fire alarm is not going off, emerging into the lobby to the fire Marshall shouting at people to leave the building as there could be a fire. What’s worse is, they were under the impression there could be a fire but the fire alarm was not ringing to alert guests who were sleeping, and the lifts were still running (a serious health and safety failure). We were told 30 minutes later, after waiting outside the hotel at 3am, that they had ascertained there was no fire and that the fire alarm system may be faulty, telling us to go back to our rooms. This worried me even more, as not only had the fire alarm not been ringing when they believed there could be a fire as it should, but if this was to happen again and there was a fire and the system did not detect it or the staff turned the system off without checking again it could lead to serious loss of life.

On checkout, I tried to raise my concerns about the serious fire safety failings to a manager. She was unwilling to listen to my complaint and acted in a highly unprofessional manor. When I asked for a refund and a person I could complain to she said I could have 20% off only fir the inconvenience. When I asked for that and someone to complain to she said I could only have one or the other - trying to bribe away my complaint to highlight serious fire safety failings under her watch. She did not want to hear my concerns and was really rude in the way she refused to provide me details of someone who could help prevent such serious failings from happening again if I claimed the refund that I was clearly owed due to the inconvenience. What’s worse is I had other colleges staying at this hotel the night before an important exam who were offered 50% off.

Avoid at all costs if you value your safety.

The on-street parking outside the hotel is convenient but expensive...£40 for 2 nights if I remember correctly. My colleagues parked in a more popular area across the road which was around £10 per night.
