Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Ideal location for Leeds Castle and nice walk just across the road. Lovely people and foods is great with lots of choices for breakfast. Parking at rear. Leeds Castle near by is worth the visit and if you want a base near by to travel around the area Ash Cottage is as I say ideal.

Step forward Rayne...and take a Bow!...and you Chris..(don't be Shy!) You are Amazing. You are Fantastic. You make the Future worth looking forward to... It's why we booked a Year in advance on our recent 2-night stay...and i am so glad we did. (Along with 2 sets of friends) If there was a World Cup for Hospitality, for the Best Breakfast, for the Most Interesting...the Most Generous...you would win it every time! We stayed last year and couldn't wait to stay again. Ash Cottage is on the Doorstep to Leeds Castle and close enough to the Ashford Outlet Centre to keep any girl happy...and indeed she was! Nothing is too much trouble for the Real King and Queen of Leeds! I may get in trouble with Rayne if i mention EVERYTHING she did for us however it shouldn't go unmentioned as all good Deeds deserve reward....and the greatest reward i can give her is with my words...of thanks...for going beyond the call of Duty...to wash my Fiancee's White Jeans when a Breakfast Berry stained them...for the Champagne...for the ..........i am not saying any more as it was a treat my friends and i will never forget..... The Beautiful House, the Gardens...the George Pub down the road...all make it an experience we shall never tire of recalling... Chris may tell you about his Diving...for Treasure!....you have no need to Chris...You have already found the Greatest Treasure...she is right beside you! See you soon we hope D+G,A+L and A +C xx

You are sure to receive a lovely warm welcome from the fabulous proprietors. The hotel is lovely with a super garden. Each time you look at either you will see something different but utterly fascinating. The rooms are individually themed and so beautiful. The garden is amazing, try sitting there and listen to the country sounds.....totally relaxing. The food they serve is locally sourced which proves in the eating. A wide choice for breakfast and all exceptionally good. Fab stay AND will be returning. Thank you both and for the history lesson and a wonderful stay.

I was so excited about our visit to Ash Cottage and I was not disappointed, in fact if anything it was more magical than I thought it would be. We were invited to join Rayne and Chris for tea and cake when we arrived which was very welcome after a long journey, the room was stunning and the theme is hearts, each room has a different theme. The bed was very comfortable with lovely quality bed linen. Very well stocked with toiletries and tea, coffee, chocolate in various varieties biscuits and sweets. The decor of the whole house is absolutely amazing, quirky and unusual things to look at everywhere. The George up the road is very good for meals and within walking distance which we liked. I definitely want to stay again but in the spring or summer so we can enjoy the garden too. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

It is the most beautiful house, the most fantastic hosts, the most wonderful breakfast, the list goes on and on from beds to gardens to showers! We were working at a show locally which was very hard work so coming back to the lovely Ash Cottage was a very welcome relief. Other reviews have said every thing before but all I would add is that if you have never visited Ash Cottage then you should go It is an unforgettable and wonderful experience.

2nd time we have stayed at the beautiful Ash cottage. Chris & Rayne are amazing hosts and nothing is too much trouble. There is so much to see here that every time you turn around you see something different. Breakfast should get a Michelin star and Rayne even managed to cater for my weird dietary needs (which isn't easy!!). Every bedroom has a different style, so a good excuse to stay in each room, not that you will need an excuse to come back, it just amazing! We honestly can't fault the place, we have stayed in both winter and summer months, so think the next visit will have to be in spring. Go on book it, you won't regret it!

This is an excellent B&B and a 5* experience the likes of which I've not seen before! I had no concerns about cleanliness or attention to the things that matter. Warm welcome with cake, great quality bed linen and toiletries, and the host's willingness to do whatever she can to make your stay relaxing and trouble free. She has a sixth sense and reads if you want conversation or quiet. I'm almost a vegan and great effort went into finding out what I'd really love to eat for breakfast. I loved the smoothies with coconut and then tomatoes with herbs. My husband enjoyed a full English two days and scrambled egg with salmon on our last day. The rooms have everything you'd hope for like biscuits, bottled water and sweets which are regularly replenished. The bed was huge and great for my 6ft tall height. Bathroom well stocked with shampoo and conditioner, body lotion and shower gel. So that's the quality bit, the quirky is in the decor and ornaments. This is packed with mirrors, pictures and 'things'. Everything is unusual and truly has to be seen to be believed! Not everyone will find it peaceful if you prefer minimalist surroundings but in honesty this is a reflection of the hosts and I was fascinated. Bit like an all round Santa's grotto for adults. If I were to be slighty critical it would be the enormous bed was a bit creaky and be aware there is room but this is cottage proportions. Do ask about the walk into Leeds Castle grounds. We spent the day there and it's an easy walk and nice to leave the car at the B&B.Pub within walking distance too. I'd not hesitate to use this place again and recommend on. We asked to see the other rooms and if you are tall ask for the room without the beam!

We have travelled the world far and wide, but cannot think of anywhere that we have been B&B that comes up to the standard of Ash Cottage. First class friendly service by our hostess Rayne was a delight, she could not have done more to make our stay a memorable one. Our friends booked this short break for us as we live in Italy and they certainly did us proud. The rooms were delightful with copious supplies of toiletries, and there were tea and coffee making facilities that excelled in their selection and variety, also the en-suite rooms were extremely comfortable. The selection and quality of the breakfasts were impeccable both in quality and quantity. There was just one problem and that was sadly we had not booked for longer. Thank you Rayne for making our stay so enjoyable.

My friend got married on Friday 11th September and the Thursday night before her and her bridesmaids stayed at Ash Cottage in Leeds village. It was just fantastic. We arrived in the Thursday later then planned but were warmly welcomed with coffee and cake. After we all chose our rooms we took a short drive to the George Inn in the village for dinner. To be honest we should have stayed and had dinner at Ash Cottage! Rayne was wonderful nothing was too much bother. She even bought me a lemsip with fresh lemon slices and honey in the morning when an unwelcome cold sprung itself on me! We literally took over the place and at no point felt like we were being disruptive or asking too much. The breakfast was wonderful and with all the to-ing and fro-ing Rayne was the calm in the storm making sure no one needed anything and making sure everyone ate! I stayed in the cherub room and it was great lovely bed and the few hours sleep I did get (I was excited at being a bridesmaid) were blissful. I shared the main bathroom with one of the other girls and the bath was amazing! The whole cottage has so much character and there is a surprise around every corner. I highly recommend this for a bridal party as you get the comfort of home without the worry of fitting everyone in but the luxury of staying away. Even if you're a couple or passing through the area then please stop off here you won't regret it. Thank you so much Rayne, the stay and wedding was wonderful.
