Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a lovely nights stay at this beautiful hotel, the minute you step through the front door you are transported back in time! The owners have clearly done a great job restoring this building, all the detail and the history of the place is evident in every room. We stayed in the very lovely judge Melish room, the four poster bed was stunning, my husband very much enjoyed the coffee machine. The hotel was very quiet, we didn't see a single soul almost felt as if we had the place to ourselves. This really is a beautiful place to stay and if your a history nut like me then you'll love stone court house! Can wait to visit again in the future

Hotel's Favourite
Fantastic and beautifully restored house. The rooms have four poster beds and some have roll top baths. Easy access to the hotel initially by pin code and then access cards once in your room. There are numerous lounges and sitting rooms with beautiful decor including a suit of armour etc. It was warm overnight and thankfully there was a fan in the wardrobe. Would definitely stay again and next time request cotton sheets over satin/silk. Beautiful accommodation!!

If you're in Maidstone, don't stay anywhere else but here. Saban and Belinda are hosts you'd love to find everywhere but rarely do. They are caring and helpful and the efforts they had to go through to get Stone Court House operating will blow you away and impress you at the same time. The House is so cool, different and inviting all at the same time and it couldn't be more centrally located to all that Maidstone has to offer. We're from the US and don't necessarily know when we'll return but when we do we know where we will be staying - no questions.

Living like a king by modern day standards, would be less than comfortable. This former Palace of Pleasure, that is addressed, retaining the best of the past & utilising the best of the present. The four poster beds with modern mattresses; Bath Cleopatra could accept; Cleanliness fit for Queen Mary & extras Elizabeth Taylor style. privacy Haward Hughes level, Tea & coffee facilities, superb. Prices reasonable for a 5 star With ghosts onhand to adress anything special you required

Ideal for a town centre stay. Bedroom/bathroom well appointed, coffee machine well stocked and easy to use. Lack of beakfast( my fault for not checking) just proved I don’t really need one to ready me for the one hour drive home. 🙄

Loved this place, was a last minute booking but would definitely come back. I don't think there was anything we didn't like. Just hope it doesn't get too popular so we can't book a last minute room again! haha

The Stone Court House is a lovely house located in the heart of Maidstone. It is unusual in that it is very central and the entrance could easily be missed as it is on a busy street. Convenient parking is available in the mall and entry is all electronic, you will be sent an email. The house is a very well furnished piece of history and the room we stayed in was very comfortable. The rooms are also very large and have all the facilities you could need as well as a large downstairs area in which you can relax. The hosts are very responsive and very pleasant. There is also a great Tea shop called Boho Tea Shop about 100 yards from Stone Court. We had a really enjoyable stay and highly recommend Stone Court House.

Loved staying at the historic Stone Court House centrally located in Maidstone, an easy walk to the pedestrian zone where you’ll find pubs and restaurants. The property is run by amicable and outgoing Saban and Belinda, who keep the property tight and tidy. Rooms are spacious (I peeked into a few while being cleaned in the morning), individually decorated and historic, thus it is mandatory to take your shoes off at the main entrance just like you would at home. The common areas are palatial, photogenic, and relaxing, a chill locale to savor a glass of wine and shore-up tomorrow’s itinerary. I wish I had more time here, but it’ll have to wait till my return next year.
