The Maiden Tower is situated directly next to the main castle (on the small island) so you get the real experience of staying in a castle. As we had booked in December, we had access to the fabulous light show as well, which was set up in the extensive castle grounds. With piped music and awesome displays, this was well worth a visit. It is also in a good overnight location for anyone wanting easy access to the channel tunnel the following day. There is plenty of very secure parking and a decent breakfast provided. We will definitely stay again.

It sounds like you had a wonderful stay! Thank you for sharing your experience. The proximity to the main castle and the unique setting of the Maiden Tower on the small island must have made for a truly memorable visit. The Christmas Lights at Leeds castle is a must do in Kent for December and are pleased you were able to book tickets in addition to your stay in Maiden's Tower. Secure parking and a good breakfast are always appreciated bonuses, especially when traveling. It's also helpful to know it’s conveniently located for channel tunnel access. Thank you for the glowing recommendation!

We visited on a dinner bed and breakfast package with our three year old. She was delighted to be able to stay on a castle. Included is entry tickets so we enjoyed the crazy holy, falconry and short boat trip (as a small added extra). It was truly magical to stay when all the day visitors hehe gone. The castle and most is beautiful. We stayed in the Anne of Bohemia and the room was lively with beautiful views of the castle and moat, they leave tasty snacks in the room which was nicely particularly for our toddler and we pre paid for a bottle of fizz and juices. Short walk to the castle view restaurant for a delicious dinner and breakfast ( seperate review) I think the DBB package was £330 which we thought was good value when you included the day use of the castle. Really enjoyed and would love to return soon

We visited Leeds Castle for a 2 day weekend break. We upgraded to stay in the Tower on B&B. The Tower is based within the castle area and was a great stay. There are 5 rooms in the tower area.
The rooms were comfortable with great views and locations. Only a few minutes walk to the restaurant for breakfast. Note sure the shower is the best design and floors do become wet (but did not impact our stay)
The breakfast was not a great experience, but will place a review on the restaurant as I do not want to down score the Maidens Tower review in any way.
In the evenings there were security onsite etc.
You have a separate entrance to gain access to the accommodation areas and do not use the normal entrance. A little walk to the Maidens Tower
We had a lovely welcome and a 'happy birthday' message to my wife - which was really appreciated
There are other options for accommodation, which also looks great

Our family gave us vouchers for Leeds Castle as a Golden Wedding Anniversary gift and we stayed at The Maidens Tower for dinner bed and breakfast.Arrival started badly because a rude security person couldn't find our booking , however when we were finally allowed through the gate the reception staff were warm and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable with lovely views .The castle and grounds were spectacular and we enjoyed exploring .Dinner was booked for 7:15pm and on arrival we were warned that they had a tasting event and service would be slow , but we didn't mind as the food was gorgeous and it was nice not to feel rushed. However lots of other diners were complaining. We had pleasant evening and slept well .Next morning we enjoyed a stroll through the gardens then went for breakfast in the restaurant.Staff were very good we were given our hot drinks and orders taken for our choice of hot breakfast , we had a few bits from the buffet while we waited ...and waited ...and waited 45 minutes later we were still waiting .Staff were wandering about and people were waiting for ages , it all seemed a bit chaotic, then couple who came in after us were given their breakfast at which point I complained to the young woman who seemed to be in charge .She was very apologetic and said she would chase up our food and it was served shortly afterwards. My Eggs Royal was perfect with nicely poached eggs but my husband's Full English was terrible they had run out of hash browns the bacon was like cardboard and the poached egg yolk was rock hard .We were so disappointed and it very much spoiled our stay , bearing in mind the occasion. It is expensive to stay at the castle and the service we received was just not good enough for the price we paid .When we checked out we raised our concerns with a member of reception staff who apologised profusely and offered to call a manager but to be honest we so upset we just wanted to go .

This was sold and is bed and Breakfast accommodation in what is a very prestigious setting.
While nothing could be faulted with the accommodation they same can’t be said of the breakfast. Quite simply it was the worse breakfast i have ever been served on my travels. it was real shock given the venue and the chef(s) who prepared it should be ashamed. it spoiled an otherwise great visit
on checkout i asked to speak with the catering manager and she was good enough to give a full refund for the cost of breakfast but it’s not somewhere i would look to stay again given the experience.

We are pleased that you enjoyed the Maiden’s Tower accommodation and the stunning grounds here at Leeds Castle. However, we are extremely sorry that the breakfast did not meet your expectations, and equally ours. The Restaurant Manager will be aware of your disappointment as she met with you and refunded the cost of your breakfast but we will still pass on your comments on to her. Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. All feedback is very important to us and enables us to address and rectify any possible issues.

We had a one night stay in the Maiden's Tower in the castle. The room was superb with excellent views and every member of staff that we interacted with was exceptionally friendly and helpful. However, guests are not treated well. We had to register in a building that was next to the Culpepper Gardens and carry our luggage a very long way to the castle. When we asked if transport could be laid on as my wife does not walk well, we were informed that there were no porterage facilities. After arrival, we then had to walk all the way back again to the Castle View Restaurant. We were lucky that the weather was fair. On our walk, we were passed by numerous extended golf buggies. Why one of these could not be made available to guests staying in the castle, I do not know.
The restaurant itself is essentially a cafe. The tables were smartened up for the evening with black tablecloths and the staff were exceptionally friendly. However, they hadn't been trained to a level appropriate to a high-level restaurant. The prices were reasonable but the food was mediocre with no flair in the presentation. At breakfast the following morning, I was served my eggs benedict whilst I was still eating my cereal. The bacon was hard and the brioche was tough. It was almost as if it had been made early and had been sitting on a hot plate.
Because all staff were so nice and friendly, we had an enjoyable stay but we did feel that we had been treated badly and we won't be returning.

We booked one night B and B in the Maidens Tower to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Customer service was very good, all the staff we encountered were very polite and helpful. The room was fabulous, lovely bed linen and such fantastic views from all directions. Cushions and throws had been removed evidently, due to Coronavirus, which was fine by me. We had full run of the grounds which was particularly appreciated in the evening when beautifully lit. The whole castle and grounds were just stunning.

There were some disappointments. There was no kettle, instead a nespresso type machine which spat out water in all directions. We had to put a flannel on the table to mop up spillages. As a dedicated tea drinker this method is not suitable and tea was never properly hot.
I wonder why there was only one comfortable chair?
The Noble Isle toiletries promised on the website were absent. They had Molton Brown toiletries instead, which smell like butch aftershave. Disappointing.
Many items were missing at breakfast. Yoghurt and granola was replaced by the cheapest, nastiest bulk catering flavoured yoghurt. Really? £255 for B&B and you can't get decent yoghurt. Brioche was substituted for sourdough, no bananas. We had had dinner in the restaurant the night before (reviewed separately) and it really lets the side down.

We did enjoy our stay mainly because of the setting, but there were too many corners cut to make it perfect.

Just got home from a fabulous 2-night stay in the Maiden's Tower at Leeds Castle. We had a huge room looking out at the castle, bath robes and slippers provided, all very comfortable, and in such a beautiful and historic building. First-class accommodation and amenities.

For me, the best part was staying on the island at night with just the castle for company. It is so atmospheric. Then you have free run of the grounds early in the morning and in the evening when all of the day visitors leave. Just don't attempt the maze if it's about to get dark (the maze was bigger and more interesting than I expected, being surprisingly complex to navigate, but good fun).

Breakfast was excellent, dinner was good value for money, and all of the staff were friendly and professional. Thanks to all of you for doing such a great job and making our stay so enjoyable.

My husband & I wanted this to be a special occasion for,our 30th Wedding anniversary and quite frankly it was very disappointing. We have regularly visited Leeds castle and thought what could be better than spending our special occasion in the outstanding grounds and views of your castle. As I,wanted nothing to go,wrong I emailed several times before our stay and left phone messages. Only one basic email reply was received and in know way answered my question. I asked about the rooms in the Maiden Tower as to what they were like and the views. On arrival to reception it was awful there was a large group talking very loudly, blocking the entrance and I could not hear a thing while checking in. Apparently they were waiting for transport. They should of been waiting outside.
As in you instructions we,could not check in until 3pm but when we got back at 2:50pm you had already started,to,let people check in. I find,it hard to believe when we arrived at 2:30pm our room was not, ready. The Maiden tower is quite a walk, from reception and as a disabled person there, was no offer of help with luggage so my husband did two trips. On arrival at our room we were allocated the Margaret of France room. It was drab and dark and this room is not reflected in any of your pictures on your website. You have obviously put the best room on the website and mislead people into thinking that is the standard of all of the rooms.
Had I known this I would have booked the four poster room in the stables.
Dinner was average, service was slow. Breakfast was better.
We can not have our anniversary again and you are selling the romantic dream on your website. I feel misled and let down because of the lack of communication and the pettiness of check in. This is not how I wanted to spend my special anniversary.
Just very upsetting how things turned out. No you are not a hotel but don't pretend to be something you are not. I thought I was getting a memorable anniversary. I will remember it but not for good reasons.

Such a shame, the Castle is a very storied place and the staff try hard but the place is very tired looking and feels like it could do with some new management. We stayed in the "maids tower" for one night. Rooms ok but not really thought through an open walk in shower that just soaks the entire bathroom floor if you use it.......nylon duvets should have been the warning sign. But the most disappoining part of the stay was the Castleview restaurant .........the view being the only decent thing that happened in there. We had booked a dinner, bed and breakfast package but the Food was just appalling, pre cooked, microwaved meals that looked like and tasted like something from a 1970's Motorway sevice station and the breakfast was even worse again precooked and nuked inedible food. Like i say such a shame and the staff deserve better. In fact, i bet Lady Baillie would be very annoyed about how the place is managed now! If you want to take your kids or grandkids there for a day out i am sure they will have fun in the theme park like kids play castles but just dont think of staying or even eating there. Such a disappointment the castle deserves better and so do the guests as it is way over priced in terms of accomodation for what you get ..........sadly you have been warned.
