It is rare these days to experience totally faultless hospitality, service and genuine smiles throughout your stay at a hotel - and this happened for us this weekend at Rowhill Grange. The rooms and spa facilities were faultless, dinner was of 5 star quality and great value for money and staff throughout every section of the hotel, from reception, to spa to bar to restaurant, were exceptional, without exception. Massage, breakfast and afternoon tea were great too. Thank you for an unforgettable experience and keep up the good work.

We had our wedding meal here in The Drawing Room and I cannot express enough how wonderful it was. After our marriage at a registry office, we returned to Rowhill Grange with our guests to have canapés and champagne on the terrace. I must say the canapés were absolutely beautiful. Following this, we had a four course dinner in The Drawing Room and it was the most amazing meal! We honestly couldn’t have asked for more! The food was exquisite, the staff were extremely attentive and always available to assist with any queries we had. All of my guests complimented the room and the food and it just made our day so special. The Drawing Room was perfect for us as we only had a small wedding but they made it so wonderful, it was just everything we wanted and more! I’d definitely recommend using Rowhill Grange for a private dining experience and we will definitely be coming back again! Me and my partner booked the overnight relax and refresh package. On arrival we was greeted by friendly staff at reception. We had our room upgraded free of charge which was lovely. We was showed to our room, which was clean and very comfortable. The room was near to the reception and restaurant which I feel the hotel made and effort to put us there as I am heavily pregnant. The spa was amazing. Not too busy. We had the swimming pool to ourselves for a good half hour of our time in there. It was nice and relaxing. Clean facilities. The food, dinner and breakfast, was both really nice. The staff were really polite and the service was great. The next day we had our treatments. Which again the staff went out of their way to give me a pregnancy massage at no extra cost which was not part of the package we had purchased. The lady who gave me the massage was so caring and thoughtful and made sure that I was comfortable the whole time. Overall an amazing experience. We held our wedding in The Clockhouse. Abbie and team were very helpful and professional from the start. Food was delicious, the venue lovely and the bedrooms stunning. Special mention to Moses who acted as MC and put everyone at ease. Bar service was excellent and never had to queue for a drink and John the DJ had everyone dancing all night, all in all everybody had a great time

So, if you stay in this place they will charge you £100 at the check in for no reason, yes I said charge, they don’t put the amount on hold on your card like all the other hotels I visited usually do, the best part is that can take up to 12 days for them to give you a refund after you done check out, and be prepared to see on your account payments charges going back and forwards for no apparent reason, one thing I found good was the restaurant food but you pay very well for that, so next time in the area and I need to remember to avoid this place, sorry!

Our main priority is to provide our guests with a high level of services and facilities during their break with us, so I am disappointed to understand that we did not exceed your expectations in some areas However, I can't speak for other hotels, as we all run differently. but the Alexander hotel collection take a refundable deposit to cover any additional charges made to the room or if there are any damages made to the room. refunds usually will take up to 5 working days, but this of course depends on the bank. Was ment to stay here on Friday 20th of October but due to my partner being from the north east and her train being cancelled as she was on it due to the terrible weather and flooding of tracks tried to ring rowhill grange numerous times with no answer and no reply asked from a call from manager to see if they would move the date of my stay due to it being out of my control why I couldn’t stay and have proof of this with cancelled train and also London King’s Cross being closed due to overcrowding for not to receive any phone call from a manager and staff basically telling me there nothing they can do and you have lost your £435-00 and not getting anything for it terrible service and will be taking legal action against rowhill grange for this as was not advised when first booked that there was a fee you could of paid to make it flexible but no good getting told this after you have booked it. Staff do not care and hotel just being money grabbers. DO NOT BOOK HERE !!!!!!!!…

Dear Lukeg, I am sorry to have receive a low scoring review from you. Unfortunately, your cancellation fell within the cancellation period of your reservation. It is advised that guests take out travel insurance for the unlikely event of a cancellation. We do offer a Flexi-Cover fee of £15 which gives you the option of moving the date providing a minimum of 24 hours notice is given; on this occasion it would not have been applicable due to cancelling on your arrival day. An absolute gem the entire place. Has everything, in an idyllic location. We have tried to book a weekend away as a family for a birthday celebration. Unfortunately, the Spa does not allow people under the age of 18! Is an absolute unnecessary regulation, which left us with a bitter taste. Maybe their management shall be looking into this aspect.

My sister and I had a spa day yesterday but have mixed feelings about this place. The spa experience was good, possibly made better by the fact that we virtual had the place to ourselves. The treatments were OK, relaxing etc, though my sister us recovering from cancer and booked the cancer treatment which seems like it wasn't the best experience as front of her legs were missed in the full massage, and had some sort of oil treatment for her face, but was left unsure it it should have been wiped off, as she came out if the treatment with it running down her face, seems a bit odd. However the one thing that was appalling was the lunch, it was inedible and I can't even describe what it was, we were presented with a cold tomato soup with some sort of slop in the middle, supposed to be gazpacho, it was awful. For main we had the Hot smoked salmon and salad, which was actually cold salmon not smoked, and what I assume was a whole bad of rocket salde with a few tomatoes and some cold hard boild potatoes none of which had any flavour at all... this is definitely not a rosette restaurant.. we noticed several people having afternoon tea at lunch time which made us think they must have been before and realised the lunch was bad. Its a very expensive place, £300 each for this day, so when things such as the lunch being so bad, it leaves a bad taste literally…
