If you have to go to Walsall, I sympathise and suggest that you make the best of it by staying at the Lyndon House. We had a one nighter here and loved it as a proper pub, with a great selection of real ale and fantastic home made curries. The décor of the hotel is redolent of the 1960/70s -...

We stayed in the Annex. The rooms had brick walls and gabled ceiling -- yes, the décor made me think of a turn of the century brothel (duvet cover was red velveteen with fleur de les pattern and it had an open canopy) but it's what I'd expect from a historic pub hotel. Not much room or light but more...

We stayed at Lyndon house at the weekend to attained a party there. When we arrived we received a less than warm welcome form a lady behind the bar, who didn't say 'hello' or offer any form of welcome, just a rather brusque 'Are you booking in?' The room? We booked a standard twin because my wife was convinced she...

I have had drinks at the Lyndon house and been to functions & always had good service in a nice, clean bar or function room. Had a family lunch today, a carvery. All fresh vegetables, plenty of choice & 3 meets. It was very tasty & as it was 2 for 1 it only cost us £9.95 per couple. The...

Picked this hotel as it was between the railway station and the University of Wolverhampton campus, about 12 minutes walk to railway, 20 minutes to university. Check in is basic, you may have to wait for someone to come through from the bar, but friendly. Decor is traditional but pleasant. The room was well equipped- comfortable pillows and quilts, flat...

Visited here for Sunday lunch with a friend. We both had a carvery on the 2 for 1 offer so both ate for under £10. The food was excellent, the setting is great and the staff were very welcoming, will definitely come again!

Stayed in the hotel for one night. Received a warm welcome and was directed to my room in the annexe - just across the drive. My room was beautiful and very 'period '. I ate in the hotel bar - very nice roast dinner for £7.00 Silly cheap! My room incorporated a lot of 'natural' stone walling so I expected...
