We stayed one night in an unrefurbished ground floor room: comfortable bed, a bit airless, a bath and mixer shower with plenty of hot water (actually too much in the sink: turn the tap on above half and it splashes up all over you!). Oh, the bed is on castors so smooth that when you sit up in bed and...

Spent a night with my wife for Valentine's Day and we had an upgrade to a suite which was very nice and spacious. Breakfast was very good although didn't start until 7am. Definitely recommend this hotel

Stayed one night to catch an early flight. Nice bath and shower over. Comfy bed, easy to walk into town and plenty of restaurants. Free car parking and free WiFi. All in all good value for a nice room.

We had an excellent carvery Sunday lunch for 5 people. A special mention goes to our lovely waitress, Liz, who had experienced a difficult encounter with demanding guests earlier that day. We had overheard her dealing in a very courteous and professional manner with a demanding couple who seemed to expect free food at the bar late morning, simply because...

Tired looking and feeling place which no-one takes any pride in Uncomfortable bed, tiny bathroom, pub blaring out music until midnight outside window, awful breakfast, inattentive staff and all for the bargain price of £93 - are you joking! Would had a better experience at £50 premier inn. Upon complaining at check out, I was told 'sorry there aren't any...

As a hotel in prime location of walking distance to Solihull busy night life we can experience some noise, especially at weekends. We do have an agreements for noise to be kept to a minimum and this will be reiterated with the relevant local business. Nice welcome from staff in a reception area which reflects worn look of the hotel. Room on 1st floor adequately furnished amongst tired looking fixtures and fittings. Curious procedure to switch on tv which had a disconnected scart plug on a separate box to ancient TV. Room was stifilingly hot during the night - unable to adjust radiator further. Notwithstanding...

Great location, excellent Indian restaurant next door (very handy). Negatives- tv did not work in bedroom area. Tired decor in public areas (room better) but evidence of refurb judging by builder paraphernalia. I do think the car park area should be kept tidy, builders or not there is no reason not to keep spotless with a yard broom. Staff are...

Stayed for 2 nights recently, visiting friends and have many memories of "the George" I was not disappointed to be back... The receptionist who checked me in was friendly and professional. My room was very nice [102] but next time might request a second floor room as conference delegates can be somewhat heavy footed, but that said, really nice experience...
