Had a fabulous lunch at the Birley today. Brilliant service and the Sunday roast was amazing! My daughter had the lasagne off the children's menu which she really enjoyed. Highly highly recommended :)

This hotel is fairly local to me and I've eaten a couple of times over the past year and been very satisfied. However, two recent meals disappointed. On the first occasion two of us ordered beef stroganoff. It was made with good quality beef, well cooked and tender, but tasted nothing like beef stroganoff should. The soured cream and paprika...

Personal tastes differ tremendously and the beef stroganoff, which is made with fillet steak, is very popular. Bury black pudding is what it is and restaurants do not keep jars of different items just in case

Very good food and well presented. Beth makes the best cappuccinos / highly recommend you get one. And all bar staff are very kind and caring. You should come here and get a meal they are worth the price you pay.

We stayed for one night as we were going to a christening locally. Very comfortable, modern recently renovated room which was very vlean and comfortable with all the amenities of a 4* hotel. Very friendly helpful staff. Large car park. Breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. Would definately go back.

My mother-in-law and I reserved a room at The Birley Arms earlier that day (Saturday 8th October) via telephone call, we arrived after 8pm and rang ahead to advise. We arrived and there was ample parking and the bar/restaurant had many people in. The staff attended to us quickly and were really friendly and welcoming (this is true of all...

We went to The Birley Arms for lunch with friends and we were very surprised to see what great value it was. We ordered 3 senior lunches which come with 2 courses and the portions were so good that we hardly had room for desert. The choice is good and we all had more than ample to eat. The service...

As I Work nearby I usually call every Friday for lunch with colleagues. The Lite bites menu is good value and service is friendly and efficient. There is usually an excellent selection of real ales. Nice beer garden if the weathers nice.

Stayed on the caravan site at the Birley Arms for a couple of nights. The site facilities were excellent, as were the dining and drinking facilities in the hotel itself. All the staff members I met were very cheerful, friendly and helpful and the food was good and was excellent value.

We called in just on speck for lunch the other day. The lunchtime menu is good but when we saw the menu for over 60s it was even better. 2 courses for £5.80. We both had 2 courses and left really full and satisfied. The surroundings in the conservatory is very comfortable and pleasant. The service was quick and very...
