I've been here before, and on most occasions the lager is fine, but I stopped in on my way home from work tonight and had a pint of Amstel. She poured the pint two thirds of the way, then let it settle while she took my money (bear in mind this is lager and not ale), which I've never seen... More

Visited this pub last night and had a few beers with a pal. Never been here before but I must say what a fantastic friendly nice pub it is. Such nice friendly bar staff . I'm back next month and will definitely be back in there . As the name suggests, it's right outside Preston Railway station. I can't believe... More

Our company had site workers booked in here whilst they were working in the area. They unbeknown to my knowledge booked themselves alternative accommodation as this place was so appalling they couldn't bear to stay any longer. When the hotel manager Gill called to check why they were no shows, after calling our site guys i called back to explain.... More

This is the nearest bar to the station, so called in for a quick drink. OK, but nothing special. Place good probably do with a good clean and re decoration, but friendly enough staff and decent pint. Would call again

Me and my partner stayed in this hotel as we couldn't find alternative accommodation. When we went up to our room the bed was pulled into the middle of the room with the side cupboard on top of it. There was a mop bucket in the middle of the floor as you could see a leak. The roof was all... More

Went for a group booking for lunchtime. All our food had been pre-ordered which meant food was ready for us after we all had arrived. Most of the group ordered jacket potato with fillings which were generously filled. I had a sandwich which was also filled well for the cost. Next to the train station if you are looking for... Close to the railway station, the shops and County Hall. Basic pub grub menu pleasantly and promptly served. Sandwiches served on choice of brown or white bread accompanied by salad and spicy crisps. Spitfire and Theakstons beer on tap at very sensible prices.

Just across road from railway station. Used sports bar and pool table and despite being a Friday evening we were pretty much only customers in back bar. Main bar was busy. Drinks good value. Staff friendly. Didn't eat so can't comment. Will visit again when in area.

We first visited this pub when the Christmas shopping traffic was clogging up Preston so much that we sought sanctuary here until it had subsided. A nice place with a games room at the back Nothing special to make this a stand out place for any reason - but there are plenty worse places to drink in Preston! Ive eaten... More
