We had one night there and felt there were some good things and some not so good. First impressions were great, lovely hall and friendly reception staff. Our room was clean and spacious but the extra bed was not there and there were not enough towels for us all. It took until 7pm that night to get that sorted which...

We booked direct with the hotel and were able to get a deal for two nights - dinner, bed and breakfast in a luxury studio suite. The room was stunning and we ate a lovely meal on evening number one. The deal gives you £31.50 per person towards food which was ample. Breakfast each morning was delicious and we made...

Just returned from a 2 day overnight course here. The room was lovely. Traditional decor that was clean and homely. Food throughout the course was lovely- well cooked and presented. The staff were friendly and helpful. Wine quite expensive however. Would certainly consider staying here again for a short break.

I am a regular visitor to the Lancaster House Hotel. The hotel is very convenient for visiting the university as it's located right beside the uni. I always ask for a quiet room, which I am always given. This visit I even had a packet of gluten free cookies with my tea/coffee making tray. The front of house staff are...

Had a lovely chill weekend a week ago. We got a great deal booking direct through the hotel which includes breakfast and dinner on one night. Food was amazing and plentiful. Room had a lovely huge bed and included tea coffee facilities. The big roaring open fire was just what we needed to chill with a glass of wine. Spa...

I have stayed at the Lancaster House hotel several times. The service has always been excellent and the rooms clean and comfortable. The open fire in the atrium and styling give it a very welcoming feel. The breakfast is excellent (especially the a la carte menu options). The bar food can vary a little, but has been generally good over...

Stayed here as sister hotel, The Midland, in Morecambe was fully booked for Saturday night. Pictures looked god but the reality is a slightly tired ordinary hotel, some miles down towards Preston on the old A6 road, surrounded by new university accommodation.

Despite previous reviews we have spent a lovely weekend here. This was a new experience for us as we took our Labrador dog too. On arrival we were made very welcome, as was our dog. The room was very clean and on the ground floor. The hotel had said a bed was provided for the dog - be warned this...

Having visited the sister hotel in Morecambe last year we thought this hotel may be a good choice for our stopover and we weren't disappointed. Very warm and friendly and we were able to check in really early on our arrival. Huge log fire in reception with two large and very comfy sofas. Plenty of space to sit and relax...
