Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Attended a university event and decided to stay on campus. Received a map with room and check in details the day before, as that's when the rooms are being allocated.
Details of contactless check in/out very easy to follow. Parking right outside the accommodation, payable 8:00am to 6:00pm.
Big twin room, previous student accommodation. Clean but very close to motorway, could hear it through the closed window. Lighting wasn't not very good, big overheard ceiling light was too bright, lamp by beds not bright enough. There was a notice in the bathroom that running water could take a while to become hot, this is a known problem. Instructed to ring number provided if the water doesn't get hot. Luckily it did!!
Stayed for 2 nights but room was not attended by housekeeping after the first night, therefore tea/coffee not replenished, and run out of toilet paper on the last morning!
Breakfast was provided in one of the college restaurants close by. This was a buffet style, with a good selection of hot and cold food.
Wifi was free but not secure, very easy to connect
Would stay again for ease

Stayed here for an offers holders open day with my son. The room was functional and clean enough. No frills - no TV, no toiletries etc, but that was fine. Great shower pressure even if you did have to wait 5 mins for the hot water! Breakfast was in one of the uni outlets - buffet style with everything you could want.
If you need to be at the uni for a couple of nights, this is perfect.

Finding room is hard as instructions are bare min.
Once you do manage to find your room , service elements are surprisingly bad.
Keyfobs done work , room cleaning dosent happen and heat radiators are erratic.
I had occurences where radiator didnt work for entire weekend and the same was faced by my friends in other rooms.

Not to mention No reception to address your problems

We have stayed in the uni guest rooms many times now. Always clean and the breakfast was very good again and just a short walk away. This time there were changes to collecting keys - they were in black key holders near the room but we were sent the code prior to our arrival. There was a clear sign giving instruction but we did have to help another group of guests who did not speak English and were struggling to get access to their keys. There was tea/coffe making facilities on the desk, full length mirror, hairdryer, iron and board. The M6 is very close to the guest rooms so you do hear the rumbling of traffic. There are shops on site and parking is £5 per day during weekdays. The rooms were quite warm.

We stayed in a double en suite room . Although the cleaning was first rate unfortunately the room and en suite itself left a lot to be desired. There had been a leak through the ceiling and the wall was damaged plus mould in the area. The en suite shower was unfit for use , the mould around the tiles absolutely disgusting. There was also mould on the walls. The wifi connection was appalling with us having to log in every 10 minutes and as it was the weekend no one could advise. We went for breakfast around 9am but it was already dried up and passed its best. Definitely needs upgrading all round by facilities management.

Each room has an en suite bathroom. The rooms are clean with good wifi. The breakfast is very basic but perfect for my needs. A most comfortable stay on campus. We were a group of 25 PhD students and supervisors and had a really great stay on campus. Lovely walkable campus with lots of places to eat, easy bus into town, and great running track around the university.

Rooms dirty and smelt of smoke. Carpet stained. Shower dirty. Bathroom floor dirty. Beds really uncomfortable. Bed linen dirty. Breakfast very basic. Whilst good to explore the campus, which was our reason for going, you really do get what you pay for. Cheap.

Booked two rooms for a graduation. Stayed many times before.

Not a 5 star place to say but rooms are clean and tea/coffee facilities in room. No TV and wifi was hit and miss. Mattresses could be more comfortable but we step well.

Great breakfast and helpful staff.

Stayed at Lancaster University guest rooms last night. They were clean and tidy but there was no TV or radio and the WiFi wouldn't connect to the Internet. I must have been doing something wrong but as it was a Saturday night the only people contactable were the security team. Still, they were as helpful as they could be.
